An Enchantress that's gone Ele-mental. A leader who chooses to oppose her.

Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, a turn-based strategy epic, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount and GOG Galaxy support for achievements.

The Cataclysm has passed, yet that does not mark the end of the ordeals suffered by the survivors. The Fallen Enchantress seeks to destroy all that is left and drive the rebuilding civilizations back to the ground.

But not if you have anything to say about it.

Brave heroes and massive armies will heed your call to arms, helping you shape an empire that can stand against the horrors of the ruthless Enchantress. Build your fame and gain the support of all those willing to join the fight in tactical, grid-based battles across a variety of expansive maps. Bring your new spells, new monsters and new items to the battlefield and end the Enchantress' tyranny once and for all.

Don't miss the opportunity to further expand your strategic options by getting the Ultimate Edition, which includes additional battlefields, heroes, quests, loot and factions! If you are not ready to commit yet, you can also Upgrade to Ultimate later.

Capitalize on your fame and amass powerful armies in Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, now DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last until December 13, 1:59 PM GMT.

huan: Interesting, the base version is not regionally priced, while upgrade and ultimate edition are. For me, it's $1.01 cheaper to purchase base and then upgrade (I know, not really, would have goten the difference in store credit anyway, but... I get to pay bit less NOW).
Hmm it appears I would save 1c in Australian currency by buying the game and then the upgrade. I think just this once I'll forgo the extra saving and pickup the ultimate edition. I guess I'm just feeling reckless tonight :)

Matruchus: Nice release. Will wait to see if it shows up as a redeemable game later since I own it at Stardock.

adaliabooks: This looks quite interesting... anyone know what kind of game it is?
Is it like Kings Bounty or more like Fire Emblem?
avatar
Matruchus: More like a mix of Civilization and Kings Bounty. Its essentially a 4x game with rpg elements.
Does it have a story-driven extensive campaign?

No, not really. You have a couple of scenarios though that you can play but they are more or less limit your playing options.
Look, I love TBS and RPGs will all my heart and soul but I don't know why but I just don't get the stardock 4Xs. I mean civ feels that I am making some smooth progression through a single game but I feel that there is something missing with Fallen Enchantress and Gal Civ 3. I hope they will throw in Sorcerer Kings here pretty soon.

Splatsch: But in few words, can you say you recommend it ? And for this price ? And do you think the complete edition is worth this price, or is the basic edition enough ?
I have bought it at full price and would buy it again, especially if you dont fall into the category of those who have chashes with loading or saving, like me (i had tons of crashes to the desktop and like me others i read on the forums).
The DLC are worth the price because they add variety to the game.

I wasn't sure if I WANT ultimate edition, the saving wasn't my only motivation :)

I'm still not sure. Now that Matruchus mentions that there is no real story, it's starting to sound like Master of Magic "remake". Not a bad game, but it gets old after few playthroughs. I'll just try base when I get home and see what to do next. I have done my share to support Stardock decision to come here either way.

It IS on the upcoming tab, so it's coming. How soon is anyone's guess though.

Yes, the game is supposed to be a remake/tribute to Master of Magic.

The game is mostly played on custom maps, but there are 2 long scripted scenarios that are story-driven.

Even the base version is regionally priced (with higher price points than the US base price). It costs $14.29 for people in the UK (the poor souls that always have to pay the highest price).
But yes, this game is another prime example for arbitrary regional pricing: Base version costs less in most European countries, while Ultimate Edition and upgrade costs more.

And when you ask developers and publishers for a reason, the answer is always VAT... *sigh*

All are regionally priced.

Bought this as great 4x fantasy game. Have this on steam but the more games i dont have to rely on that the better in my books.
thank you gog,
i had Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes at gamersgate sales (steam only)

and :
The Dead World DLC
and:
Leader Pack DLC
on sales at Gamersgate (steamkeys ofcourse and steam required)

Now thats another game i had on steam,, the less games i have on steam the better, cause steam is awfull and cumbersome (heavy and clumsy).

IAmSinistar: Almost missed this one amidst all the saleness. Looks pretty good, and the price is tempting.
If you buy it, could you please update your wiki page so that MaGog could learn its library game IDs. I am guessing the game is unbundled and therefore has different game IDs in the catalogue and library.
