Just to have the link right there if need be... I have the older versions but wasn't sure if this bundle was worth it. Would like some help in deciding if y'all please.

And if you could, please explain as to why it is and isn't worth it?

I think Icewind Dale is for sure, but only if you love the original. If you just play it in passing you may not notice or appreciate the tweeks.

I can't speak on BG though, sorry.

Well, according to forum member timppu, the Enhanced Editions of Baldur's Gate are better optimized for new systems (he complained that the older versions are very hungry CPU-hoggers). In addition, the upcoming Siege of Dragonspear (that takes place between BG 1+2) will require the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate 1.

..well, just bought 'em. >.< But I also have the older ones so 'hopefully' that doesn't remove the older versions I already bought? So I can still use older mods on older versions of the games?

The old versions are published by a different company than the ones who publish the Enhanced ones, so the old ones will still remain in your account.

If you own the originals, i would say not to go crazy about those "enhanced editions". I did not had problems with original Baldur's Gates 1 or 2 on Windows 7, i own Enhanced edition too. Basically, enhanced edition adds some mods that are already existing into an whole package. You can get widescreen mode and many others for free and apply them to your original games.

Honestly, i was expecting much more from "Enhanced Editions". The prices seem just too big for some modded games. With 66% price reduction as GoG is offering now, i can say they are at the "correct" prices. But on full price... $20 bucks for an modded $10 game... This seems kinda off.

Well, if you ask me, games are fine without any kind of mods. There's a reason why there are so many mods available for these specific games. They were very appreciated, so the community went over their head in making them even more enjoyable. That does not make the original, unmodified games unplayable. Not at all.

I almost made the same thread today. I am leaning towards that they are not worth it, and I figure a steam sale will be cheaper anyway in the coming holiday season. Considering that all 3 cost $20 during this sale, and 2 (BG I & II) out of the 3 games appear to have mods available to do most of the EE stuff, then add in the reports of all the new bugs, it just adds up to not being worth it for me. Just 1 game costs $10 during the sale, and I already own the originals on gog.

It just doesn't seem like that good of a deal to me. But I might change my mind if I can find out more about the EE games, but from what I have read, they do not sound like they improved that much that cannot already be done.
