I think it would be cool, especially since it fully released now. I hear the UI could have been better, but a more relaxing Factorio-like would be nice to have here. It doesn't seem like there are any news of a GOG release, sadly. I'll probably have to give it a try on Steam.
It's 50% off on Steam, and I'm very tempted to get it there since there's no indication from GOG ... but then again there rarely is when it comes to certain games. Some they advertise beforehand, some they don't. Well, it's GOG's loss...

I really like the medieval feel of it, it's a nice contrast to the industrial or futuristic style that games like this usually have, like Factorio and Dyson Sphere. Plus the interest on Steam is quite big, so there's bound to be frequent updates and improvements.

Edit:
The GOG-question was already asked on the Steam forum, so it might arrive here as well according to the developer

Oh crap! Well, I guess I can buy it here again, if it really arrives and I like my run with it. So far, I am enjoying it, but the UI isn't too great, and the tutorial messages end a little too soon, I think.

Well, there's no guarantee GOG will carry the game even if the developer offers it, plus it could take a year or more for it to arrive. So you shouldn't feel bad for buying it on Steam, ... I did the same :-). I agree with your comment on the UI. The way you link worker tasks with buildings, needs some improvement as well. Overall though, I very happy with the game, it actually looks and plays better than I expected. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed.

It's pretty bad when you want to change something, but otherwise it's a pretty cool game, yes. It seems like nobody plays the campaign, however. I think less than 1% finished the third level, so everyone must be playing in sandbox mode. XD

That is the most singular frustration thing with GoG

I've asked Devs outright "Is it coming to GoG?" and get replies like "Lets see what the future brings" or "If we do we'll let you know" then a day, a week later its on GoG. Given how GoG's curation works, at the point I asked they were planning on a GoG release, actively going through the process and couldn't say anything, muted by a NDA.

Meanwhile other games, with no discernible difference, get a very clear COMING SOON

And unfortunately some games (such as Beyond Blue) announce they will have a GoG release and yet it never came.
