Klumpen0815: Talk is cheap, I'd reserve it for the moment amrit gets his money back after all those months.

Regarding the car renting:
Is there no public transportation and are there no used bikes available in the states? I can't imagine this.

I'm always baffled at how people are handling money.
I can neither afford a car nor public transportation in my town, so I take the bike (a really crappy one, so that it doesn't get stolen). The fact, that regional pricing is hitting me pretty hard is another problem, but I just don't buy those games out of principle anyway.
You just shouldn't live beyond what you can afford and never borrow money for things that are not absolutely crucial to sheer survival, in fact, I wouldn't even borrow money then but rather try to earn it in the streets.

Borrowing money for video games is just bollocks and so is lending it to strangers on the internet (sorry amrit, I know you're a good chap).
Yes, exactly what I was thinking too. I will assume that you are 40+ too as this is an old school way of thinking. Save up then buy something, only spend what you can afford, keep money in the bank etc. Welcome to the new world, everything is on credit, nobody saves anything, governments force you to spend money to escape recessions (buy downgrading those who save for instance). Its the american dream, "i'll buy that for a dollar".

Even I have given up, put some money in the bank so I don't fall behind on mortgage payments, its makes 0.fuckall% interest, if I just pissed that up the wall, became unemployed, I would have tons of free time and still be on the same money. I wouldn't worry though, its all propped up by cheap migrant labor and will collapse eventually.

BruceLeeForever: Okay, as Amrit has requested, I am here to clear my name. I'm sick of everyone on these forums thinking I am a scammer. I AM NOT.

I originally didn't have money to buy a game on GOG here (Elder Scrolls: Morrowind) and I asked Amrit to gift me the game and I agreed to pay him back later in time. Fast forward a little bit, I get some money on Ebay after selling my Xbox 360 games since I've converted to PC gaming recently. I used some of the money on personal stuff and the rest was going to Amrit. I didn't take the money out of Paypal in time and since it was connected to my Ebay, Ebay went ahead and took the money for fees I didn't pay back for the previous month. I didn't mean to make Amrit feel cheated or make any other members of this community get a sour taste in their mouths. I am planning on using some of my Christmas money my mom is giving me in a week or so to pay Amrit back in full with interest. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

I'll be here online for a while. :)
It's NOT about money. It never was.
It's about TRUST and HONESTY.
If you had told me about your problems earlier I would gladly sent you Morrowind as gift (Which you already have on Steam).
But what you did was unforgivable.
I waited for whole humble bundle sale so that a could ask for few games. But you never answered. You even blocked me.

Anyway if you really mean what you said then I don't want anything.
Just be active here , DON'T YOU DARE TO BREAK TRUST and DON'T YOU DARE TO BACK STAB THOSE WHO TRUST YOU.
Go Doby you're free elf now...

P.S. If you want to repay this community then be part of it NOT just for collecting games. (It's NOT another Steam forum it's GOG community forum)
You may donate some games to The Community Giveaway (It's Christmas after all).

Nope, I'm still in my 20s but never had much money in the first place, don't want to end up where I come from and don't want to owe anyone. Unfortunately my generation of refugees is replaced by a new one now and I see dark times ahead.

Yeah, people seem to forget that or didn't read about it. Stuff like his is just unacceptable and showing ill will, making this whole thread a farce.

You may donate some games to The Community Giveaway (It's Christmas after all).

Yep, you're right. I was wrong and I will gladly donate some games to the community giveaway on Christmas day. It's the least I can do. You can hold me to it.
I'm sorry for being untrust worthy and I will do everything in my power to become trust worthy once again. :)

Not to forget at the end of it, you have no car and no money...

Although i suggested dropping renting cars, not to buy a car. I mentioned getting a bike at least twice...

If you have money problems, don't do donations.
They're not mandatory to regain trust.
Just behave, partecipate in the forums and take trades seriously*

*or avoid them, because: 1 Gog already offers great deals 2 there are scammers here.

Okay I guess then. That makes sense. Yeah GOG overall has a great feel about it between CPR being awesome people and the community here, not to mention the great deals.
Maybe something you can do is head over to The Reckless Journey of Santa Claus!   (Mystery Giveaway) forum guessing game thread and make some guesses on behalf of amrit and maybe some others if you like.

It's a community effort to hunt down baddies (and Agent 47 depending on your view if he is a baddie or not) with a reward for whoever finds Who kindnapped Santa, What fancy new game he had in his sack, and Where they are holed up with him and said game, probably playing it right this minute!

I'd maybe suggest if you post there that you simply ask/double check with _Slaugh_ to make sure that it is okay that you make guesses.

If you like movies, be sure to check in on the guess this movie thread, another fun little forum game, which xSinghx has stumped everyone again with some obscure whacked movie.

Some great conversation can be found in any number of threads, as well as some general tom-foolery bafoonery in abundance.

And also, make sure you check out the game-specific forums and try to liven those up a bit if it interests you.

If you haven't done any/much of any of that already, that is, of course!

For all we know the OP might be living in a small town in the middle of nowhere though, and the parents might be forced to drive for over an hour to get to their work place. You can't really compare that to a big metropol like the one I believe you're living in. Even in Germany in the midst of Europe you might have trouble getting by without a car if you live somewhere out in the country.

I'm not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and neither should anyone else.
All we know is, that he has taken money and then blocked the guy he owes it to, everything else is just blah blah.
It really doesn't matter what's behind all this besides a bad personality that has proven itself by its actions and still has the nerve trying to justify one point while completely ignoring the more important point.

Hardly a viable solution in most cases.

I don't really care about that, I was neither trying to excuse the OP nor accuse you for not accepting the OP's explanation, I just replied to your assumption that someone who's lacking the money for a car could just use public transport or a bike instead, which I admit is a topic that's totally unrelated and irrelevant to the topic at hand.

djranis: First dont give your personal issue and family problem in forums or on internet for that matter, things only gets worse

Second dont worry about it, if you are not a scammer then people bitching wont make you one and gog forum is pretty forgiving and forgetting, so just chill, things will get solved eventually

Its up to you but i would suggest re-edit you initial post and take out the family and health issue
