Just posting this here in the hopes that the feature will get a few votes.

Basically copied from wishlist:

It would be nice if in your personal order history they marked game codes that were no longer functional. If for example a game code you received as part of a promotion and you failed to redeem, or have someone else redeem expired. That there would be a tag EXPIRED instead of NOT YET REDEEMED.

The last time I ran a giveaway, I included a couple of games with expired codes without even realizing it. One "winner" laughed it off and told me no worries, but I felt bad enough for the other one that I wound up buying the game for them again out of pocket.

I like that idea as well (voted of course). Expired keys should be marked in clear way.

More importantly, the expiration date for each code should be visible from within one's orders. It makes zero sense for the owner of the unused code to have to go to the redeem page and plug in the code there (as if to redeem it) just to be able to see when or if it will expire. Obviously, your idea would be part of this; if the code has been invalidated -- whether manually, or because it passed its set expiration time -- the entry in the order history should be marked as "expired". Otherwise, it should give the expiration date in place of (or in addition to) the current "Not yet redeemed" message.

Thank you for making this thread.

I did not know about this. I thought expired codes would just not appear.

I have to edit my post in the trading thread. I may have a lot less codes to trade with than I thought.

This. This would be especially helpful for gifting and in the case of the Community Giveaway to be able to confirm to zeogold an expiration date without him having to spend even more personal time checking all the codes.

This would be a useful addition. It would be even better if it showed the expiration date directly, but just this would be great.

Voted. I also hope from hereon foreward there will be no secret expiration dates when it says 'expires: never' but it is just a fortnight and the code is dead.

^^So much this. Having to check the codes on the redeem page really makes absolutely no sense, plus is a very annoying and frustrating experience given that one's subjected to the atrocious Google Captcha.

I've raised this issue with GOG Support, and they're still looking into it - given that it was during the 2017 summer sale this first popped up, GOG's been looking into it for over a year now, yet seems unable to find a way to fix it.

Made my point with Support recently about this very matter. Hopefully this picks up traction so they will implement it as it is a no-brainer. I almost insisted they activate the code since it had no expiration marked in ANY of the documentation available to me (Email, order info, or e-receipt) so it can't technically be expired if I wasn't properly told about it. I decided against it because I do like GOG and don't want any guff between us.

Already voted. Actually I think about this every single time I see an unredeemed key listed on my orders page, it's a hassle to not have this information in that same section and it just feels like a very unnecessary one because to implement this should be trivial.
