OracleCensor: Oh no! People can't possibly like achievements!1111 INSANITY, I SAY
NewPyk: You talking about that pop up things that came out rather recently and have nothing to do with original game and are here only for one reason: to falsly convinced our brain that we achive something?
It's really hard to make good achivments.
You need a basic thought process to make an achievement that isn't "Kill 100 enemies" or "Walk 10 meters". It's really not that difficult.

eric5h5: Oh no! People have to invent straw men and argue with stuff the OP never actually said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What part of "online DRM" do you not understand? Did I say anything about liking achievements? They are pointless, but if you like pointless stuff, OK. If you want to advocate for games having in-game achievements, that's another matter, especially since in a few cases they do more than just give you a badge or whatever.
I don't really see how achievements act as "online DRM" since they are pointless... right?
Yes, you do have a somewhat valid point but I don't see how in-game achievements are that much different from "online" ones. There might be an "online" achievement that is tied to unlocking a reward in the game and the game doesn't need to have the in-game ones.
