MarkoH01: No matter how much you try to spin it, the fact is that you directly stated that the mods have "reading problems", which is why you bolded your statements. That is an insult. If you were on any other forum site, you would've easily been banned for that.

Krogan32:
Only can speak for myself of course, but to me the "reading problems" statement doesn't come across as having been made with malicious intent but rather in a sarcastic manner?
Looks like the mod(s) can tell the difference as well, otherwise MarkoH01 surely must have already been banned by now.

Having the original game discs, I find this all very amusing.
It's also why copyright needs to be cut back so people fixing or remastering them should make it worth it.

ssling: Did they also replace main character with Udo Kier in Enhanced Edition? :O
Babyface Runner. :)

I hope it's possible to mod in the different background for the main menu.

As if.
For starters it was a comment, and by all accounts a true one.
You'd have to be pretty thin skinned to see "reading problems" as an insult.
At most forums I have ever used, at worst you would be given a warning for something like that. Mostly it would be ignored, unless it led to something more.
Clearly you have got some kind of agenda going on, Mr. Spinner.

Timboli: Spinning bullshit.
No matter if it's true or not, it is still an insult. I understand you and your ilk don't want to accept that fact, but it is a fact nonetheless. As to my "agenda" (<plays X-Files theme song for your conspiracy>), it is merely for people to follow the rules that GoG has set forth. Something that seems to be sorely lacking on these forums, which is why these forums have become a joke among other gaming forums. Rules are in place, therefore the rules should be followed. End of story.

Ignore him he/her/they just try to take topics off-topic to get them locked. It's given the review deletions a easy way out

It's OK. We understand that you don't know GoG's ToS at all. The reviews were removed, because they violated the rules. But, hey, no matter how many times you tell yourself otherwise, what I stated still remains a fact. Also, to all the individuals downvoting me, it just proves that you are angry at me for stating facts.

Linko64: How does pointing out flaws and bugs with a 'enhanced' edition of the game fall afoul of guidelines?

Sometimes it's just better to admit fault rather than dragging heels to the courtyard.

MarkoH01: I agree to this statement 100%. GOG explained removing certain reviews with the same non explanation they already did to the affected users themselves.

Since some blues obviously do have problems with reading, I will try it in bold this time:
We are aware that some "reviews" were against the review guidelines and we don't mind that you removed those reviews - we all have to follow guidelines to keep this civil. However we have a problem with the removal of those reviews that were NOT against the guidelines AT ALL (proven by screenshots) . So reevaluate those reviews, learn your own review guidelines and at the very least admit your mistake ... even better to restore VALID(!) reviews as well. You are so losing the trust of your customers right now and I don't know anymore what I could still do to make this clear to you. Stop ignoring those who are the reason that this store actually still exists ... they have a reason to tell you when you've done something wrong. Not every complaint is a rant and in the end we all want to love GOG again - but with such things you are making this really hard ... at least for me.
Well said.

sysia_GOG: [...] our Customer Support Representatives removed opinions that were in violation of our review guidelines (e.g. those encouraging to pirate the game or using language that may be considered offensive and inappropriate).
That's either a lie or an admission of incompetence of your support reps.

Let's take an example. This is the review user "panoloc" wrote on June 24.
PC users, move along...
This is just made for console players to enjoy. I will stick with the original GOG version.
It is understandable that there were many problems into bringing this up but this is clearly a butchered and lazy release.
At least GOG was king enough to offer a discount for those that already have the original and those that will buy the "Enhanced" Edition will get the og release for free (play that!)
As far as your review guidelines are concerned, this is acceptable. It's about the game, and it's not abusive (and there are others just like this). So why was it deleted?

I don't know who is downvoting you, but they shouldn't be, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, despite it being very clear you have an agenda or view things with tunnel vision.

What you are saying does border on obnoxious, but certainly not obnoxious enough to downvote ... but hey, some like yourself interpret things too narrowly and negatively.

I agree 100%. The removal of legitimate negative reviews amounts to an attempt at false advertising by GOG, through trying to manipulate and skew the review score for the game. It might even constituitute illegal behavior in some jurisdictions (which may have laws against false advertising).

The deleted reviews need to be re-instated immediately and I would like to call on GOG's CEO to apologize to the user base and provide an assurance that it won't happen again. Unfortunately, GOG seems to have a problem with admitting when they have done something wrong.

The reviews violated GoG's ToS, which is why they were removed. Keep up.

As has been shown in the evidential images and examples, many of the reviews that were deleted did not violate the ToS. Perhaps you should consider reading what other users have written and stop trolling (as usual)?

<Pats you on your head> No matter how many times you tell yourself that, the fact is that they still violated ToS. Those screenshots (assuming they are actually reviews that were removed... no evidence of that), vast majority were only about ScummVM instead of the game. Those violate the ToS, something you clearly don't understand. Finally, mods, I was insulted (calling me a "Troll"), so are you going to ban Time4Tea? The rules are there for a reason, so use them.
