Genre: Adventure
Discount: 50% off for the owners of the previous GOG version of the Blade Runner game. The latter will be added to every Blade Runner - Enhanced Edition purchase.
Normally with deleted review it's to control false revies e.g. ranting with no reference to the direct quality of the product. A chunk of these talk directly of the product, deleting them in err....a odd one. I've not had too much time to play the 'enhanced' edition so can't comment on its quality, but there is clearly a issue with it. Deleting reviews in this case is a a bit reckless

It's only "odd" if you think it was "accidentally" deleted.

"In graphics I cannot see a real improvement in comparison to the ScummVM version. But the rest is worse. No German voice over (which existed in the original game) all text in KIA is in English only despite the language I choose and character movement only works when I click on a interactable object"

^ "Off topic"? More like desperate panicked damage control. If this was done at the request of NightDive, then I won't be buying System Shock remake (or any future ND published game) either no matter how pretty the trailer vids look...

MarkoH01: Great that you made the screenshots.
I can't take credit for making the image, someone with more foresight than me did.

Edited my post and thanked you for posting the link to the screenshots instead ;)
It's not the first time they've done this: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_hitman_game_of_the_year_edition_11093/post728
In the case of Hitman there were quite a lot of "reviews" that weren't reviews at all but pure rants. Unfortunately we don't have any screenshots here of what they actually deleted so we can't tell for sure if they deleted valid reviews there as well. I don't want to say that it wasn't the same I just try to say that it COULD be that it wasn't .. without screenshots we won't know what they really deleted.

AWG43: Not sure if purchasing this version would be a good idea. Some gaming journos, like the gamer, say it is a "Faithful Remaster".
It isn't if you own the previous version already.
The whole thing is really unfortunate. I don't think that the game itself deserves all of this.

Timboli: Today i decided I would change my mind and buy it after all.
But first I would check out comments and reviews again.

But boy oh boy did that re-confirm my original decision, so nope not at the current 50% price.
Not paying that much to just check what all the fuss is about, I'll just stick to the original.

Narushima: Don't worry, GOG is on the case!
They've decided to fix the issue... by deleting all the negative reviews.
All the reviews in the attached image have been deleted.

(can't seem to be able to attach the file, here it is: https://i.ibb.co/1fYHj2q/gogbladerunnerdeletedreviews.jpg)
Ah, nice work, I was about to post the same. Let's see how they justify this.

Spoiler: they'll just edit our posts and probably ban us. It's easy to hide evidence when you control your own site, after all.
For what is worth, GOG can rot. I'm not buying anything from this dump ever again.
This goes beyond a mere disrespect for users. They can also be sure that I'll do the opposite as I did back when I joined: at first, I convinced loads of people to shop here - now, I'll try to convince them to avoid this farce of a store.
You get nothign anyway, just unupdated games and lies.

I can't comment on the relation between the ND and GOG of course, but it's not unheard for companies to wish make poor reviews disappear. For me, as a fan of Night Dive (mostly), it's sad to see this idea of preservation being done in such a manner and even more saddening to see GOG delete valid reviews to quieten negative review. This whole release has been a dent for both.

The sad aspect to it all is companies are happy to talk about 'passion' and 'preservation' but only when it comes with a thumbs up and a smile. The original release was a great asset to GOG, so it's sad to see it come to this.

According to GOG support audio options (or missing of said options) is NOT a game feature and incomplete translations aren't part of a valid review as well. Good to know .. what's next?

(It is not my screenshot so whoever made it I hope you don't mind me posting it here)

After a couple of days i was rethinking to buy it the "Enhanced Edition" but definitively not. I purchased the original game. If in the future they fix and improve the game, with the 50% discount, i will buy it, but buy this with no hope they repair it, not.
Night Dive's "Cyberpunk 2077".

Wait a minute... but guidelines are not rules. Is it me and my English got drunk, or GOG staff is trying to pull some bull crap here? I always thought that review guidelines are examples for what to write about your personal experience during the game play (and it doesn't matter if it was a localisation or gameplay related nuisance for you).

Regardless, the review in question is...fine? Not sure how mentioning a refund is a negative either given part of their branding is talking about their refunds. None of this makes sense. Launching a game and having negative reviews isn't ideal, but you take the data from them and the sentiment. As for the storefront...there's no other reason to delete non-troll reviews other than to protect profits. Maybe that's this is the preservation they keep speaking of.
