First this https://www.gog.com/forum/general/bring_back_the_manual_setup_option_in_the_game_library_please that I'm still very pissed off about.

And now the whole site redesign. It's uglier, less intuitive, less user-friendly and super clunky. Before it was perfect, now it's super slow on my PC, and the pages lag and flicker.

Can you stop redesigning? Thanks.

Mostly agree... There are some useful improvements here and there, but overall the old game pages ( and front page ) seemed much more compact and efficient. Now all the relevant information is scattered all over the place, in between a bunch of oversized graphics, animations and other clutter. ( Why would I care what the most popular achievements for a game are? How does that influence my decision whether a game is worth buying? ) And of course there is still no direct link from a game's page to its dedicated sub-forum. I mean, why would there be? People might actually find relevant info there.

Maybe we're all just old-fashioned geezers who don't want any changes, but personally I like it when a website is practical and efficient. I don't need dozens of scripted features, fancy effects and interactions, just make it fast and easy to use, with all of the important information in clear sight. Seems like most modern websites are designed for the younger generation of smartphone and tablet users, not traditional PC users.
For me, The minimum changes needed in this new design is bigger news section like what we have previous easy to navigate and glance what is happening

On my craptop: (i3 2nd gen)
CPU usage on the store: 50%
CPU usage on the game list: 6%

On my laptop: (i7-7700)
CPU usage on the store: 25%
CPU usage on the game list: 0%

(averages)
============================

I'm extremely fed up with the changes as well. Again I must press, what you have designed looks amazing. The website looks fresh and modern. Whoever worked on this design did an amazing job, but all those bells and whistles are also it's downfall. Now consider this:

I don't need peaking CPU usage to look at games to buy. I don't need things to look nice and calculated. I don't want YouTube videos to load when I'm moving my mouse around across thumbnails. I don't want to be bombarded by multi-media content. I don't want important information to be spread across thousands of pixels.

I recently messaged the webmasters of a big retail store to complain on the fact that their website is using so many third-party services and trackers that the experience is slow, sluggish and made it a point to joke about it being the reason we need 1000$ phones and 2000$ computers nowadays. It's ridiculous.

GOG, if you will stand your ground and continue to push this new design forward, please consider adding an option to use a different layout. Add it in the account settings or on session cookies from an option on the site, but please please PLEASE!!!! add an option for a practical website design that's functional and intuitive.

As far as I know: We didn't ask for this, and we were not consulted for a "beta" or "testing" phase.

As I have mentioned in a previous post. Sure, the old design could have been improved but this is not the way to go.

Visiting GOG.com is not a pleasant experience at the moment.

Why do people always want to fix something that is not broken.

An option to revert to the last design would be great.
Is the website design DRM free?

Every time someone makes a redundant thread it just clutters up the place.

Oh, wait. You again. Can't you stop beating those horse bones?

Bingo.

It was a pleasant experience before. Now I dread the idea of coming on the site.

In defense of the redesign, I find it better in mobile devices (not much, but navigation has improved). I don't feel particularly strong about the other changes, except the GOGmixes -losing them is a pity.

I too wish the news section was more visible. It is not as bad now that the big sale has ended, but only three/four headlines can be seen at the same time, which is annoying.

Agreed here too. Where is the list view? How can I see the genre of the games?

Yeah, it's even more javascript-intensive now and it looks like it's trying to be the new Windows 10 Playstore. Tracking new releases is a pain. Seeing what's on sale is a pain. It's not just about the aspect, I liked the old layout better too.

I'm sure the GOGBears will say it's all flashy and animated, young kids love it and they're the majority of our clientele. Well, guess I'm old.

The new layout is a complete disaster, both on Windows with Chrome and on my Android Firefox. I loved to come here on GOG.com, now it's a hassle.
