Gersen: The problem is that nowadays it become increasingly difficult to even say "hello" without offending and/or insulting somebody. We live in a time where some are offended/triggered by others clapping in their hands so where do you draw the line.
Pretty fucking obvious why (except not to you). Clapping interrupts the speaker. Making jazz hands doesn't. If all your posts were replaced by CLAP CLAP CLAP you probably wouldn't like it.

Only SJWs or Black Lives Matter interrupt speakers.
The west is doomed. Then again I feel that way every time I read the next bit of nonsense that 'triggers' them.

Clapping is a sign of agreement and appreciation. If its interrupting the speaker they say something like "I appreciate your support but please hold the applause until after I'm finished". They don't get 'triggered' by it.

I remember a moment in Kindergarten in the 80s telling my teacher I didn't like the word 'blood'. Do you think I got some special safe space or other nonsense? No, the teacher said it was too bad and continued speaking. I'm a better person for it today than I would have if I had been coddled in response.

I remember being a little kid in Kindergarten in the 80s telling my teacher I didn't like the word 'blood'. Do you think I got some special safe space or other nonsense? Eurotards love being slapped around by brown/blacks.
People who get 'triggered' will be in for quite the shock when true tragedy hits them in the course of life. I'd pity them if they weren't actively damaging society.

People who get triggered get triggered exactly because they've already experienced something terrible. What's being triggered is PTSD. If you go around giving people PTSD or capitalizing on it, you're damaging society.

This is nonsense. Soldiers coming back from war get PTSD. Someone who got called fat does not have PTSD. These people either have mental issues or have been convinced their pathetic childish behaviors are OK because they grew up with parents coddling them to ridiculous extremes.

fronzelneekburm: The Germans tried to help. Didn't do them any good.
Them?
The Germans or The refugees?

Most times a person, group or nation doesn't step in to help the suffering and oppressed because it helps themselves, they do it because it helps the other party. They do it because of basic human compassion, often at their own expense.

It could be argued that recent regime changed where done in the self interests of the parties involved, and the subsequent events stem from this.

Europe is not burning. But the world has shrunk, beyond comprehension, in the last 20 years. There are fires that burn a thousand miles away, but the world is so small now that the embers can leave smouldering holes anywhere.

GreasyDogMeat: I realize whats happening in the world is extremely emotional and I find it disgusting how blinded they seem to be about whats really going on, but you need to use facts and not insults to get your point across. Posts like this just make them close up and [i]no[/i listen to reason. That's bad for everyone.

fables22: I'm not saying I agree with what you've been saying, buy I a 100% agree with this. For some people, discussion equals throwing insults and slurs around. Until there's something other than just that, what's the point of pretending we're even having a discussion in the first place?

catpower1980: Straight from the BBC:

Context is key here.

National Union of Students (NUS) Women's Conference

Now there is no mention of the subject of these speakers or their origin, but Domestic Abuse or mental illness is a high possibilities.
