throgh: And that is also one major problem with the bible. So this comparison is valid for every confessional writing! You want a change? Okay then help the liberal thoughts out for a reformation. Stopping with this sentence you have written just helps nobody.
Again, Christianity had reformations. Islam has not. As for the Muslims pushing reformations? Ignored and hated by the mainstream. They need bodyguards and security to protect themselves. Something those critical of Christianity do not need.

As for supporting them... what do you suggest I do? I do subscribe to them and upvote their videos... do you do anything yourself because all I'm seeing from you is an attempt to redirect valid criticism.

If we can't even criticize them and their flaws NOTHING WILL CHANGE!

This is what happens to those critical of Islam.

throgh: That might sound very harsh: But the "war on terror" had even more victims. As I've said: Stop bombing, stop the drones, stop recruiting new people with hatred. Just help! And there is no further possibility to be more careful: The first victim of "more security" is freedom. Within the end we have the same here: Repressions within our society and death is the fellowship of repressions. We just have to look back in the history!
avatar
GreasyDogMeat: This idea that the bombings and drones is responsible for this situation is ridiculous! America has been dealing with Islamic extremists since 1783!
And with christian extremists since the foundation of the Massachussetts colony by a band of theocratic witch burning nutjobs. History is funny like this : since it covers a LOT of time and events, there are enough example of everything to prove pretty much any point you want to make, or to single out any enemy you chose to have.

throgh: Then let me ask the other way: Who are your "people"? That sounds idealistic: But I see no further difference just within the religion and the language. Everything else? A recommandation for now: Just watch the Earthlings-trilogy. Starting with the named first and the more important one is Unity. In the end hatred and prejudices end with killing and pain. We should care for everybody and for every creature.

And that is also one major problem with the bible. So this comparison is valid for every confessional writing! You want a change? Okay then help the liberal thoughts out for a reformation. Stopping with this sentence you have written just helps nobody.

Years_of_Chaos: You dont speak for everybody and you are intolerant.
No I don't speak for "everybody" but tolerating the "intolerance" sounds a little bit strange, doesn't it? You are talking about rejection. Talking about protection. You want to blame someone? Go ahead and take your own nose. We are ALL responsible coming to this result. So either we go on with hatred and prejudices making it even more worse or we stop this vicious ciricle. By the way: The responsibility also includes myself. Ah and it seems you are not willing to have more deeper thoughts so you just make it easy and simple: Declaring myself as "intolerant". Go on, as I've said ignorance is the best, fastest solution, letting us all to this.

EDIT: By the way, dear community-management ... I now it is quite complicate. But do you really think this all here can be called "community"? People using the forum as place to tolerate hatred and prejudices, crying out about intolerance when there are words against their opinion and of course making the postings going red. Nice one: Quite the best demonstration about our own intolerance here. We are learning good from our history! :D

There's a difference between "Fallout 4 is shit" and "All Fallout 4 players are retarded", though. One is an opinionated but somewhat extreme view, the other is just crapping on other people.

Christians have done bad things in the past so are on equal footing with Islam. No... that's not the case. Christians have moved past those dark events... Muslims have not. You may disagree with Christians on many views (I do myself), but they are by and large non-violent.
http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/youll-be-shocked-with-how-many-american-muslims-want-sharia-law/

Christianity is not the issue today. You are failing to see how the teachings of Islam correspond to the violence we are seeing today, and throughout their history.

We had a terrorist attack in a Paris movie theatre 30 years ago because some extremists didn't like the Scorcese movie about Jesus, so... Okay, it's an isolated act, but it helps to remember that noone is completely free of their "dark past". With the right provocation, many people from many different ideologies (including mine : I'm an hardcore ecologist, and unapologetic about it) can go to dangerous extremes when cornered.

Despite the second paragraph not having a lot of relevance to this particular discussion, I'll give you a response anyway. No, I don't think that this is a community in the true sense. The fact that it's been and continues to be called that, however, doesn't help (or impair) solving this community crisis anyway, so we might as well just stick to the wording.

Of course, but when it is a daily occurrence (this isn't an exaggeration) there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

This is horrifying. You have an example of something 30 years ago and yet you have 13 islamic events in your country this year alone. One of which with a death toll of 86.

Imho if you enjoy shit you have at least one major malfunction and I'd like not to be around you.

The point is any opinion can be offensive not just to someone, but to a group of people in this case Bethdrones (also a hobby shaming slur).

Hum hum, with all the attacks France got since Mohammed Merah, the only "direct retaliation" was the bacon in the mailbox of a mosque :)

And for traditional catholics nowadays, if we have to make the comparison in terms of "violence" between "la manif pour tous" and the protests against the 49-3, those christians are more like lambs than wolves ;)

French writer Pascal Bruckner:
"At the end of the 1970s, Iranian fundamentalists invented the term "Islamophobia" formed in analogy to "xenophobia". The aim of this word was to declare Islam inviolate. Whoever crosses this border is deemed a racist. This term, which is worthy of totalitarian propaganda, is deliberately unspecific about whether it refers to a religion, a belief system or its faithful adherents around the world."

@Fables : so something regarding moderation is on the books? Will we see it this year?

No, it will most likely not happen in the next 11 days. Sorry :(
