Yeah I know, boo-hoo the new movies, but I'm forever a SW fan and a SW junky.

Feel free to rip this shreds, but I'm still there, day one, with my Galactic Empire shirt on! :D

Seems like a wise decision, since I doubt they'd let you in without it on.

Good point.

Better not take any chances.
Does it contain spoilers? I haven´t seen Episode VIII yet.

I haven't even seen episode IV yet. I guess I have something to do for the next few days.

It actually does show the clip of Vader telling Luke about being his father.
Evil C-3PO be like "I need your robes, your lightsaber and your landspeeder".

Seriously though, nothing really interesting here. The "evil Ray" is with 99,99% bait and switch, and even if not, she's such a nothing character played by the blandest actress on the planet that it would have zero impact if she did go evil.

The Star Destroyers inside that storm in space look nice. I wonder if that somehow ties to all the stuff the Empire hid outside the Outer Rim after the war when they went to ground.

Anyway, the movie is pretty much guaranteed to a) look nice and b) suck balls. I'm still going to see it because I'm curious about how exactly they will mess up this time.
Meh.

If the Empire had that many Star Destroyers, why did they even go to ground? The combined Rebel forces at the end of Return of the Jedi would've been crushed by those.

The thing is, according to the books and comics the Palpatine wanted the Empire to crush and burn in the event of his death, and prepared a whole elaborate scheme to make sure it happened, while a huge part of the fleet was to go into hiding beyond the Rim, where he was doing... something. And preparing... things.

It was never really explained in anything I read, and the movies of course so far didn't explain anything at all about the shape of the galaxy in this time period.

Nice nostalgia at the start of the trailer but it just looks like throwaway material from a video game.

And they showed them in release order instead of chronological order, so it was just "look at the stuff we did" instead of "look at the story thus far."

"Remember when Star Wars is good? Well it's not now, LOOK LOOK! Big things, BIGGER THINGS! It's REEEED!" No thanks. lol

Well, I would say Rey turning evil would genuinely be the best thing for this trilogy, but yes, this is almost certainly a "face your fears" test like Luke went through on Dagobah. And if that's the case, it's weak to end a teaser on that but this is JJ "It's not Khan!!! Okay, it is Khan..." Abrams we're talking about.
low rated
Just out of curiosity, am I the only one that liked Ep VII? :P
Even I'll admit that VIII was 'meh'.

Actually, plot-wise several Star Wars videogames had a MUCH more solid plot than both the prequels and the sequels. So the throwaway material from a videogame would likely look definitely better. .P
