I am glad I downloaded the Galaxy launcher before buying anything. I am vehemently anti-Epic. If GOG is partnered with them then I am out. Too many of the games I bought on Steam went Epic exclusive right before release forcing a song and dance of getting a refund. Some of those refunds were flat out refused until someone threatened legal action. If GOG is connected with Epic in any way then I am not interested. Back to Steam.

Don't use Galaxy then, it's not needed for anything except providing multiplayer functionality anyway.
And it's not like you're being forced to buy the few games which are offered through the integration with Swiney's store.

Here is a thread that goes into more detail but to try to sum it up they are introducing the ability to visit other Game store pages within the Galaxy client with the Epic Game Store being the first, this is still in testing but a blue has pointed out that this can be disabled in the settings so if you don`t want to see Epic or any other store you have the option to remove them.

Honestly though they should just remove the GOG name and just call it Galaxy as it being designed to be an all in one place for games so keeping it separate from GOG would be a benefit.

Sine it is optional you can forgo using the client and stick with the offline installer packages which is another nice option to have.

So you are alleging that Steam charged money for a product that they never delivered, and then refused to refund people who gave them money in exchange for nothing?

So the main reason you are anti-Epic is because you want all your games in one place on Steam? Were you going to use GOG for games you couldn't get on Steam?

The point of Galaxy is to gather all the stores in one place, the only games you can purchase are those that aren't available in GOG because they are an Epic temporal exclusive. You can still use the store without the launcher but if you prefer Steam it's OK, is your decision.

Steam is poison yet you act like they are innocent. Now you know how other users (either from gog or other stores) feel when a game is only on Steam and no other choice.

True but Epic is more poison than Steam is because they have taken games that had Steam Store pages ready for the games to be sold at the 11th hr.

I really don't care that they did that, steam started this cancerous situation we are in today.

That's neither a GoG nor an Epic problem. That's on Steam.

I'd also add my usual disclaimer of "Never pre-order video games"; pre-ordering is not a sensible thing to do.

If THIS is the way you guys want to build that list, that already doesn't worth much and fails the "showing forces" part badly, you make your list don't worth anything at all.
I mean, you actively trying to get an Epic "hater" and Steam lover, who might even have started this thread just for the Lulz, with 0! games on GoG to your boycotting GoG list.

Now THAT will teach GoG something (not the thing you might want though - more like you can be ignored without problems...).
