I've been following their giveaways since they began (with Shadow Complex, technically) and I'm yet to see them give an Unreal game. Not that I need any of them, I own then all, but it's just something I noticed.

Anyway, I'm liking the giveaways a lot. :)
Superhot... might have to play this again. Had a blast with it.

Hope i didn't miss any free games, though i'm guessing i haven't.

ASAC_Nobody: Bulk deal. "We'll give you $200k for your permission to give your game away".
Games that likely aren't seeing a huge amount of sales anyways...
So it's not like they are losing out...

moobot83: who cares its epic games store so i bet you cant play the games without there shitty launcher no thanks
Download? Not sure.

Play? The games i've tried worked fine and didn't appear to be DRM ridden.

aRealCyborg: I really think this is breaking the game market it just bad though i am still claiming them.

GameRager: Maybe....also I admire your honesty. :)
I generally get them some where else any ways, like moonlighter it is better for the devs that way.
Next game will be most likely Little Inferno ( in 8 hours from now)

Moonlighter? That a game dev, store, or gog user?
Well so far there is nothing on this giveaway i want, even for free.

So far Epic Games has provided me with the only DRM free version of Subnautica you could get . You had to get the version they gave away early on in the offer, as it not being tied to their launcher was an error on their part (they later 'fixed' that so it now requires their launcher).

Fortnight? other rubbish MP 'whale' farming 'micro-transaction' whoring games? 0% interest to me as games all that junk. Chess? lol.

Superhot is probably not too bad.
I saw it had a VR version now so i might have bought that on PS5 after it's released.
Now understanding the game probably has very little replay I won't have to.
a) dev still got some money.
b) epic still won't convince me to become a cashed up member of it's service
c) I still get to see what all the hype was about without spending a dime or pirating
Everyone who matters wins.

Except Epic they won't win; not over the DRM free crowd who want an open platform and our software to simply function without interference, nor over the steam base who already have tools ingrained in developers software restricting an open platform with a user base that wants everything in one place enjoying the priviledge of being first class digital citizenry.

Epic will fall on it's arse squandering it's wealth.

They would have been better off developing games that were simply a joy to play and working out how to get trickle revenue from it, because it's not even going to really shake up the market and any exec who thought they could muscle a way in without really doing something out of the box should be fired for their deluded negligence in handling Epic's finances.

Hopefully this destroys them enough that fortnite goes under so we can get back to real first person shooters like the unreal tournament series that aren't bloom enfestered wall spam fests with really only one gimmick.

You all had your chance to comment on it so i'm taking the obvious pun :D "-Epic Burn!" :P

StingingVelvet: Getting SuperHot for free is pretty cool, since it's never been less than $10 as far as I know.
It's been included in a few game bundles though.

Dark_art_: True, you need the launcher to install but some games are DRM free. I tested Into the Breach, installed on old laptop and it plays fine on other pc's.
You're going to trigger the people who think needing an app to download is DRM, even though it isn't.

that the dev gets money from me (or who ever gifts the game) instead of a big pay load from epic to bride them to come to there store.

I'm shocked some of them don't consider internet access(or electricity) to be DRM. ;)

StingingVelvet: I assume Epic gives money to the devs for these freebies, so even if you hate Epic it's a good way to support developers and get free games. Most of them are DRM free as well. There's really no downside here.
Some of the devs on the giveaways are the kind a lot of people wouldn't want any money going towards even at the expense of a free game.
Next game tomorrow most likely Ape Out

True....still, the money has already been given to them, so one is not giving them any money themselves & whether or not a person takes the game the dev still gets paid.

AHAHAHAHAAAA
I just tried to get into my free Superhot this morning.
Apparently the loading screen was for their store that was taking hours to do last night; not downloading game assets after pushing get it free on like 3 different pages.
So came in thought it was done close down the greyed out window and went to my game library... nothing.
Good work epic a giveaway that doesn't work cause your software is a broken piece of shit; guess I have every right to pirate it now.
:P
