Dang it! Sorry Loradan. I can't wait to check out this room first. I have to help her now. It would be nice if you could dispel the door but if you don't, I'll have to just throw something at the door and hope that works.

I find the lit torch (don't remember if it's still on the ground or if Rufus has it) and pick it up. I move a safe distance away from the right door and tell everyone to stand back from the door as well. I call for Siegfried, Tanea, and Roosevelt to back me up. If Loradan doesn't dispel the ward from the door then I throw the torch with as much force as I can muster unsure if it will even work. If the torch doesn't work then I will throw my shield at the door like Cap'n America. If the door gets dispelled, I then tell the woman from behind the door to come out now but slowly. There are a lot of people here who believe you are a danger to them. I also position myself under Rufus's Globe of Protection and defend myself from anyone or anything trying to attack me.

40 - Gilius - Dwarven Druid

I command the stone elemental to come back to us and stand near the warded door, just out of reach of the blast if the ward triggers.

Meanwhile, I take a quick glance in the left room without entering.

Loradan recast his 2 protection spells which had just expired.
He was still near the wall on the left side of the tunnel.

( Come on Benki, a Starfleet captain would never endanger an entire team for just one unknown person.
Also, the secred passage story smells like bull**hit..)

"Benki, if you are really that stubborn, it's better if I'll remove the ward myself." - Loradan said aloud, shaking his head in disapproval.
Then he warned the party: "Everyone be on guard, I've already met monsters that can mimic human voices or even shapes before".

He then cast Dispel Ward on the right door.

(It got Loradan to Dispel it didn't it. ;-) There are lots of times on Star Trek where Kirk or Spock used bluffing to try and get something done.)

Good to see you Roosevelt. There is someone behind this door who is calling for help. She claims there are monsters coming for her but the door is warded. I've convinced Loradan to dispel it. Once the ward is down we should be on our guard in case this is a trap.

( What!? That's a bit silly.. it's not like we opened the door with our eyes closed.. -_-'
Also, I asked him about this too before and he didn't tell me anything.
He basically made us not explore one room at a time as we wanted.. )

( yeah, under the threat of endangering everyone by triggering the ward yourself.
If that ends up being a trap, most of the party won't trust your character's judgement anymore )

BenKii: I find the lit torch ...
I have one in my equipment, but I don t know if there is another one.
I turn to Shins, Peloquin and Loradan, and talk to them keeping a very low voice.

Do you think you could set a trap in front of the door ? That way, Loradan can dispel the ward, and we say to the lass inside to open the door without going out so we can check what all this is. If it's a trap and if she/it rushes toward us, she/it will trigger the trap. That will give us an edge !
67 - Rufus - Human Cleric

"I'm not into Succubes, Syrens or others Banshes..."
Rufus gets out of the way of Benkii, who might rush into the right room.

In order to prepare the group for what could come next, Rufus quickly lights his torch. From the tunnel, he carefully and silently looks the inside of the left room, and then at the rest of the tunnel.
Did he see some new creatures, some warnings about the right room or might there be a magnificent broom and a bucket? Does the tunnel continues far away?

As soon as the Holy Guardian arrives with Siegfried, he checks what need to be done to save the unfortunate (and acts accordingly if it's in his capacity Heal potion / Cure disease).

It is not silly at all. The only instruction I have had until after Turn 6 is BenKii opened the door with shield raised. Everyone else is milling around outside waiting for a thief to go in and check the room.
Lets say I assumed BenKii looked in the room as well and there is a Basilisk inside that turns him to stone?
You would be screaming blue murder.

( I don't understand the reasoning.. in your example, BenKii would have eventually looked in the room and then turned into stone anyway.
Even worse, by not telling us anything, we all would have entered and then be affected by the magic.
At least, with just him being turned, the others would have had a chance to avoid it.

IMO when you open a door to check\enter a room, you look inside it by default (at least the first person), unless specified before.
If you still disagree, however, we'll try to add that instruction every time. )

"Unfortunately, we can't do that. If that girl is in peril as she claims, she won't just stay put in that room. We'd risk killing her with our own trap."

( remember that resurrection isn't always possible: see what happened in the other tunnels )

*Opens his eyes*

Why is the world spinning around? Those voices sound friendly and familiar. I need to fight the monsters. There are lives to save. Why does everything hurt so much?

Time to be back on my feet.

I draw my sword, prepared to repel any threats.

Updated: new actions on post 322: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/enter_my_dungeon_if_you_dare_western_tunnel/post322

(It's good to be back. I also still have 2x Heal and 2x Cure disease at the group's disposal).

Fish the Half-Orc Berserker

I'll stay near the left door ready to engage any beasts that might be inside it. If they even try to open the right door, I'm going to position myself as not to be flanked by whatever comes out that blasted warded door. Roy, ready yourself fellow orc. These fools are going to get us killed.
