(You are a true gentleman, Benkii! I feel very responsible for Rufus's demise and quite saddened by it: I do carry a trap disarm kit and I should use it to protect everyone. Although I am a bit hopeful as I see we are more and more learning to work together, but we are still not quite there yet. It is difficult sometimes to gage who is where, and some players post frequently, others like me less so, because of time zones and personal schedules. But I think we can make it all work.) ;)

(So, as it stands, there is a trap up ahead with poor Rufus empalled. Then there is you and the Shins. And correct me if I am wrong, but there is a 2nd trap behind you, the acid trap, and some of us are still behind you with the Nightmares. People got to be careful not to step into the acid one too!!)

(I'm gonna wait a while. Wait for others to post and rethink a collaborative strategy before I post my next move for Doc. Let me know where and what I can do to contribute to the group to carry us along safely.)

(EDIT: When I post my actions, I list my inventory at the bottom so that everyone can see what I have and what service I can bring. But maybe this is not typical of role playing games? If everyone did this, would it help us better strategize? Or is this against the rules? First time role playing for me! Challenging but fun. LOL!)

Fish the Half-Orc Berserker

Let's make sure to check for any remaining traps ahead of us. Worst case scenario, we can use the dead cleric to trigger possible traps in the area. Once everything is cleared, I'll take his hammer for my own. It might be of some use in the future. And someone pick up that torch.

40 - Gilius, Dwarven Druid

Strigon, Yeenwi and Fish shouldn't go on their own ahead as they won't be able to spot potential traps. Shins should go first.

I order my elemental to attack the remaining nightmare nearby that is on the defensive near Siegfried.
Meanwhile, while staying just behind BenKii, I move forward with him, going carefully past the trap that Shins rearmed, until we reach the area where Rufus was impaled.

If I can still act after that, I try to delicately remove Rufus from the trap he is "set in" (maybe with help from others : BenKii, Shins, the drow / half-orc party) making sure that I (we ?) do not maim him more than he is already, and I (we ?) lay him delicately on the ground.

And if I can still act after that, I cast Resurrect on Rufus.

Grunts* If the resurrection fails, leave the body behind. He's just going to slow us down. You humans are so sentimental. (Annoyed that you kept the hammer when I already have the intention of keeping it for myself.)

*Roosevelt watches as the two Nightmares face one another, and debates trying to banish them both. He agonizes over it for a few seconds before deciding to retreat back to the party and continuing up the tunnel. It is at this time he hears Rufus death wail.*

"Who has been hurt?! BenKii, who is that?"

*He squints his eyes as he approaches in the dark and recognizes the cleric's corpse*

"Dear Gods, he gave his life to defend us. He deserves a proper burial. We need to move on so we can find a good place to lay the priest to rest. Does anyone have an injury I can do something about?"
