gogtrial34987: For the speed of the game, it might be worth picking some likely numbers, and already "taking" the action. If Doc first reveals how many orcs there are, and you then take an action, we're 24 hours further on before you do some damage, versus if you just say "if I see X, I do Y, otherwise Z".

Are you coming in with us? (I'm kinda assuming so, but might be helpful to Doc if you make that more explicit. Waiting outside, I don't think you'll have a lot of chance to sneak attack anyone, since Beldarion is rushing in and I'm following him.) :)

Dunward Human Mage:
I will enter the room after you. If in the room there is a single enemy I will use my wand to cast Silver Dart on it. If there are more of them I will cast Fireball on one of them. I will try to cast my spells before the enemy(ies) are engaged by charging party members so that companions are not demaged by my spells.

** TURN 2 **

Southern main tunnel:
Post edited September 27, 2019 by Doc0075
Zayd ibn Yassin stay in the main tunnel, noticing tracks from other party from distance. Then from long range, he can see the three wights coming for Triock Ulagolor the Elven Paladin. He unleashed the silver arrows from his longbows.
When I call your name
It's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees
I beg you, blast light there.
In this midnight hour
I can feel your power
And now with this prayer
I know you'll blast light there

I look where there's a nice concentration of the undead, and before Turn Undead is cast, I cast a Ball of Holy Light.

Knowing I'll be forgiven for not actually being on my knees, considering the immediacy of the situation, I finish up my chant, grip my Iconoclast in hand, and direct my Guardian to go forward and do battle.

*Edited for a bit of role-playing.

I command my Gnoll to attack the oncoming undead.

I didn't PM him to change my action, and I have no objection with DM action, no... nope... not at all...

Maybe you just rolled a 1. I personally can't wait to roll a 1 on my Fireball cast and inadvertently kill like 3 people :P

Haha, it's hilarious, and fitting in a way. I guess he probably didn't want to change what happened? At least this way if there were more enemies in the door you picked, it's going to be easier for us.

MaxFulvus: *Grumbles in his beard* well, you're right !
So we will attack the wights in the back.
First, we have to use offensive spells against them, then throwing weapons. Wights must remain focus on Babargh's Guardian if we have to be engaged in a melee combat.

About my actions, I'm throwing axes to the Wights to behead them (I will pick them up later) after eventual spells from the others, then preparing for a melee with my Battleaxe and my shield. One step ahead, two steps behind to avoid to be outnumbered and escaping if things turn bad.

"BARUK KHAZÂD ! KHAZÂD AI-MÊNU !"

What about the formation ?

idbeholdME:
Are those throwing axes blessed or enchanted in any awy? If they're not silver or enchanted, they might do no damages to the wights - they're usually resistant to physical damage.

arsalan12: I command my Gnoll to attack the oncoming undead.
The update said that your Gnoll "steps forward to meet the oncoming undead", implying he's already going to attack them, so I think you can take another action as well, like casting a spell?
With Gnoll already attacking I cast my fireball on the undead for an extra damage.
wait so did a new turn start? and if so would i have to repeat my action again for it to take effect?

Nope, Doc still hasn't updated it for the Southern Tunnels. It seems like the busiest place, so he is probably keeping it for the last.

It's actually great, because if he allows people who posted their actions after he announced he's going to post Turn 2 later, we might have more attackers like Darrim and Arsalan.

Personally I think the one update per day is maybe too fast, as not everyone is managing to post what they want to do, and for us all to agree (and debate) about what we want to do. I signed up for the game because I knew we had 2 days before an update (originally), and I'm not sure if I would've signed up if it was an update every day like it's been basically now, since it's great when you have a "buffer" day when you don't need to be online or in case anything happens, you can just post your reply the next day. So I hope Doc will slow down but we'll see!

bler144: No one has died in the south...at least yet. Two of the other directions have.

Also, for anyone not looking at the main thread, RWarehall provoked the creature behind the grate (20' sword-centipede) and it crashed on through. It hasn't yet picked a direction, so...pray it goes north. ;)

If it comes south we may have to hope the Turn Undead diverts our current targets, push through the door that is open and let them fight each other.

But at least for this term your action / focus should be on responding to either the wights coming out of the trapdoor or the zombies/wights.

Edit - also, when checking to see which group you were in, I noticed that for some reason Doc's OP in this thread has been 'low rated.' I know, I know, rep doesn't mean anything, but go ahead and upvote, please.
I actually thought we were close to each other (me and everyone else, your dream team and Roark+Darrim+Thras), and your team was standing around either in front of the doors, covering our backs (like you said you were standing rear guard, for example), or that the team was moving around with Max and protecting him, but since you're in formation I thought that would've triggered the wraiths first, so I'm kind of confused how Svartalf and everyone else could've gotten past the trapdoor without triggering in, unless Doc decided you moved in a line from the sides and that's why it didn't count as approaching the trapdoor. :D

In either case, I hope Arsalan's fireball won't hit me, given that he should be in front of me and be able to cast it before I take any action. Hopefully there are people around so we can try avoid being flanked or surrounded, like I wanted to do when taking on the enemies.

Considering I said that I checked both doors and trapdoor, I think Doc considered I was enough prudent for me and my party for not triggering the trapdoor.
No idea if my throwing axes are magical or not, Doc said nothing about them. Only my battleaxe is.
