41 - zlaywal - Zayd ibn Yasin - Human Ranger
Zayd ibn Yassin shaking his head when the stocky hag missed by his arrows for the umpteenth time. He looks at Kyp's belonging and take his fire bow. He take a short prayer for his fellow ranger.

43 - idbeholdME - Svartalf - Dwarven Battlemage -- ( Protection Against Evil, Reflect Spells)
I pick up the shield I threw at the Hag in my previous turn while carefully watching the situation with the werewolf unfold, ready to defend myself should it focus its attention on me. If it does decide to rush me with an obvious intention to attack, I will cast Ice Lance on it but once again, ONLY if it is obvious it is going to attack me. I'd prefer not to lose another adventurer. Hopefully the Cure Disease spells work out. I also have Cure Disease potions but I doubt a crazed werewolf would be willing to ingest one of them.

48 - babark - Babargh - Dwarven Cleric -- ( Globe of Protection )
Babargh the Dwarven Cleric Resurrects the son of Fulvus and summons a Holy Guardian

Haven't taken turn yet:

72 - park_84 - Darrim - Dwarf Warrior
78 - CervelloYM - Cervello - Drow Battlemage

jonridan: "Og'rialt, Kip, Beldarion, I think we should hurry in getting our loot so that we can continue after the Drow and that damn hag. Remember, she still has an eye out for some of us, and I rather be on the right side of the sword. She made a fool of me enough times already but now she's hurt. Do you have any advice on that weird book, Og'rialt?"
"Agreed. We should leave this crowded room the sooner the better. Get a good part of the loot. After all, Og'rialt and you saved everybody's a**es."

If Triock's spell works and he doesn't have to kill Roark, Beldarion will look for an exit, while keeping at a safe distance from any possibly crazed revenant (Taz is a sure source of trouble and Max could turn into a werewolf, too)

babark: I thought it was established that there were no action limits.
But yes, I can.
Babargh the Dwarven Cleric Resurrects the son of Fulvus and summons a Holy Guardian
There is actually, two turns ago I only cast two spells, for example, but didn't atttack a hag despite saying I'm attacking after healing Trioock and buffing myself (I think it was those two spells). Doc is limiting it to several actions per turn that make sense, otherwise we'd have everyone doing 10 actions per turn. :)

jonridan: "After resurrecting, looting, getting the wolf under control and deciding if you want that lunatic 'shoulder-head' around you, is everyone else coming with us?
"I'm perfectly fine teaming up with all of you, especially with a fellow elf. Did you find anything interesting in the side tunnel, any other paths, or is this the only way forward?"

Edit: She's defeated, so if standing in the poison cloud a little bit longer to do the following actions won't hurt me or poison me, if Roark's healed I will take the hag's body and haul it out of the poisonous cloud and then take the magic ring and check whether she has anything interesting on her, and Resurrect Max and put the ring on his finger to heal him up further, if it's needed. If I need to go out of the poison cloud first to get a breath of fresh air and then go back in take the ring and then go to Max and Resurrect him, then I do that.
If Roark's not healed, I rush out of the the poison cloud and cast Cure Disease on him, and then try to haul the hag out of the cloud and take the ring, and if enough actions remain, Resurrect Max and heal him up with the ring if needed.
Edit2: Before putting the ring on anyone, I check whether it's cursed or evil, if it is, I warn everyone about it and don't use it. If it's not, I ask Dunward if he can ascertain whether it has charges or can be used infinitively, and then pass around the ring to those who need healing while I resurrect Max and then take the ring back and use it on Max, if needed.
I posted new summary in 746:

"THE POISONOUS FUMES ARE GONE

Just posting it in caps in case some people don't read all posts.

So I don't haul the body anywhere, I just start taking the magic ring and checking her body right away if Roark is cured and doesn't need healing. Otherwise I heal Roark first, getting away from him in case he's too close so he doesn't interrupt me, shield raised. Then I offer the ring to pass around to heal the wounded, if it's not cursed or evil."

Lifthrasil: Fine. Time to get physical. I rise to have a bit more freedom of movement. I still have the staff in the hand that I control and I smash it over the head of Taz. If necessary, I repeat that until he is out.
We're going to try to resurrect you after the next turn, so don't leave just yet in case you stopped reading the thread - there's still a chance you might come back to the game! :) Doc said you and Max are resurrectable, so given that you'll still have Taz, we're going to take the next turn set things up to get ready in case Taz does anything.

Thank you!
(Guess Doc finally gave out on this. Oh well. Thanks for the fun whilst it lasted guys! This was a blast. Hope those who want games get them!! Not in!!!)

I think Doc would officially state that he is stopping. It must be extremely time consuming to manage this. Just give it time. We still have time till the end of the year.

I think Doc didn't expect so much "work" for this game. He certainly thought there would be 10-15 peoples interested in and only one thread to manage. It's a lot of time for one DM !
He could hire some co-DMs from the pool of dead players. I'm still hoping for a resurrection. But there are some non-resurrectable bodies who could help out. And if I should be out for good after all, I'd be up for co-DM-ing too.
(I'd offer my services as well to be a co-DM. That's not permission to kill me off though. :P )

(Right now I'm trying my best to keep everyone's actions up to date so that it makes it easier for Doc to see everything at a glance. He's mentioned to me earlier that it helps him out a lot so I'm glad that my little contribution is helpful to him. :-) )

I agree, also it can get a bit busy in real life and he has stated he has very early shifts, so it's no wonder it can take days for update if he wants to have a personal life too and not spend the whole evening doing this, since he's been at it for a month and a half regularly (or two months, since he began middle/late Sep) .

It's been just a week, so given that he updates 4 tunnels usually every 2-3 days, that takes quite some time, esp. in-between answering players' queries. So if he wants to take a break and then continue, or just make the time between updates longer, I'm totally fine with that.

Also like idbeholdme has said, Doc would say so if he quit, rather than just stop posting. He's most likely been busy.

Since it wasn't planned in advance, that would just make more work.

I suspect that while Doc probably has a dungeon map drawn, most of the detail about the setting are just mental. Doc also seems to be interpreting some things fairly loosely, like the length of time in a turn.

In order to use more DMs, Doc would need to put on paper (or email) a lot of information which either isn't set in stone or is just in Doc's head. So you'd spend weeks getting the co-DMs up to speed instead of actually running the game.

Doc has a day job. Probably has a family and social life. This is just a fun thing that got out of hand quickly. Plus, remember that South tunnel is just one of four groups. Even when Doc does come on not everything can get updated at the same time.

Take a deep breath, relax, and give it some time.
Agreed with what others have said. Life always takes precedence. Doc will get to us when he gets to us.
Silver lining: For the first days of this game, all my free time went to reading the threads, so with more time between updates, I've actually been able to play computer games again during my evenings! *g*

To make certain your update is all he needs, then: you missed some edits to my actions from #701 in your last update.
