Green_Hilltop: Oh yeah, I should ask Doc if he didn't forget about the Reflect Spell on you! Since the spell she was casting on you should've had a roll for backfiring.
I thought about that too but just took it as that the mist was not reflectable. Probably too late to change anything though...

41 - Zayd ibn Yasin - Human Ranger

Zayd let out a faint smile, happy with his 4th kill. He decides to test if his arrows now could penetrate the stocky hag's body.

Doc said he rolled for it but forgot to write the roll. Just to be on the safe side, I'll be including in my action posts the "Reflect Spells - cast on Turn 10, Bless - cast on Turn 11" thing other people have been doing, just to make sure Doc doesn't overlook it. :)

gogtrial34987: I know. And wrote "right arm", so don't know what you're quoting.
avatar
Green_Hilltop: Sorry, I switched it around, I wanted to write that you're attacking her right arm but the magic ring is on her left hand, in case you got it mixed up - the magic ring is on her left hand, not her right hand. So you're attacking the arm which is regrowing, it's the other one with the magic ring.
Huh, you're right. I originally got the whole "right hand" from your big update:
avatar
Green_Hilltop: One is tall and skinny with a magic ring on her right hand that heals her
But Doc's turn 9 indeed specifies left hand:
avatar
Doc0075: You see a ring glow on her left hand and the arrow wound closes and heals.
Glad to have caught that. Thanks!
Dunward the Human Mage:
Cast "Magic Shield" on himself and murmurs "It would be rather unorthodox but in the theory it should be possible."
Dunward focuses on the ring of the left hand of the tall Hag and casts levitate just on the ring. The ring should move the hand of the hag upwards. Should either had to grab the hand with the ring with other hand to stop the ring from sliding of from her hand, that would make her distracted and defenseless for a moment, or let the ring go, this would leave her without the regenerative powers.

Haha, yeah, sorry! I'm pretty sure I was thinking of the left hand, so it's possible I just wrote right by accident there as well. Good to have cleared that up! :)
"I have an idea to cover Triock while he gets healed. I have no idea if it'll work, but it's better than waiting around for death by scorpion or maggot."
Roark casts Bite of the Werewolf, then uses the extra strength to vault the maggot and bite down on the witch, dousing his teeth with Cure Poison Potion on the way.
And High-Fives Roosevelt as they walk past each other, because why not.
Amended action:

I PMed doc a question about how heal works.

Assuming it's D&D style rules, on the assumption he's going to need a 2nd heal I will add heal cast on Triock (who appears to still be alive based on the administrative records in the Hall of Players) in addition to smacking the holy bejeezus out of scorpion.

Also, I will raise a prayer to the heavens to not get shot in the back with a fire arrow. TYVM.

Kyp decided to take a nap in the midst of combat, so he won't be doing anything this turn. So don't worry, no fire arrows will be going your way.
** TURN 12 **

Southern main tunnel.

*rolls dice* The Stocky Hag winks out of sight. She reappears in the left side of the room.
*rolls dice* The Tall Hag mutters a spell and steel spikes protrude from her body.

80 - Eranear - Elf Paladin turns and casts Heal on Triock *rolls dice* the blood clears from his throat and the holes in his body close.
You cast Protection from Evil on yourself.

52 - Roark - Elven Druid casts Charm Animals on the maggot *rolls dice* the maggot is now under your control.
*rolls dice* The bear continues to attack your maggot, tearing into its side.

35 - Aslain Melemir - Elven Thief faces the grinning stocky Hag and draws his swords only for her to wink out of sight.
Draws his bow and fire at the Scorpion *rolls dice* narrowly missing SmartyFartBlart you bury an arrow into its carapace.
Kyp's head comes flying at you *rolls dice* you just manage to dodge out of the way.

15 - Says Beldarion - Human Warrior moves to engage the stocky Hag but she is gone before you can reach her. Growling in frustration, he looks around for her.

30 - Kyp - Dwarf Ranger inexplicably settles down for a nap.

*rolls dice* The stocky Hag looks at the sleeping Dwarf and shakes her head. *rolls dice* She grabs hold of Kyp's head and with a violent twist, she rips it off. Laughing, she looks around before throwing the head at *rolls dice* Aslain Melemir, "You'll be next, me pretty!".

30 - Kyp - Dwarf Ranger is dead.

22 - Kip - Halfling Brigand *rolls dice* fires his sling at the stocky Hag who is in the middle of casting a spell. *rolls dice*
She raises her arm and the mini fireball explodes around her. She is glaring at you.
A lightening bolt explodes just behind you, you throw yourself to the ground.

48 - Babargh - Dwarven Cleric cast Silence on the tall Hag *rolls dice* she shoots you a venomous look. You back away from the steel blades, not sure how much more damage your Globe of Protection can absorb.
You cast Ball of Holy Light towards the tall Hag *rolls dice* she brushes the spell aside.

13 - Roosevelt - Human Paladin having been freed from your cage, you quickly grab your gear. You cast Protection from Evil on yourself. You attempt to attack the hand of the tall Hag with the ring on it *rolls dice* the Hag deflects your attack and tries to grab you and bring you in for a spiky embrace *rolls dice* but she is repelled.

59 - Cicatrix - Drow Ranger slowly moves towards the back of the room, looking for an exit. You warily keep an eyes on the stocky Hag nearby.

9 - Max, son of Fulvus - Dwarven Thief attempts to sneak behind the tall Hag *rolls dice* as she reaches for Babargh, and then recoils, you attack *rolls dice* and stab her in the back of her right leg. She lets out a silent curse and drops down to one knee.

2 - SmartyFartBlart - Human Paladin attacks the scorpion *rolls dice* as you attack the scorpions stinger bursts through your protective bubble and into your left shoulder. You feel the venom seeping into your body *rolls dice* and bring your hammer crashing down on the scorpions head, ending its life.
*rolls dice* You collapse to the ground, spasming.

28 - Triock Ulagolor - Elven Paladin rises to his hands and knees.

70 - Thras - Dwarven Mage calls for healing. You look to Taz who is grinning at you and cast Charm Person on him.
*rolls dice* Taz punches you in the face, breaking the spell. "No! it is Taz's fun time!"
Taz casts lightening bolt *rolls dice* aiming randomly in the tunnel. It narrowly misses Kip, causing the Halfling to throw himself to the ground.
Taz laughs wildly.

29 - Og'rialt - Dwarf Brigand you see the tall Hag drop to one knee and launch an attack. *rolls dice* The Hag instinctively raises her newly formed right arm and deflects the attack away with a spike protruding from it.
You back away and your book drops from your backpack, flicking open to a page. The page shows you directing your mirror at the Hags face while uttering a specific phrase.

69 - Rudy Human Ranger you keep your bear attacking the giant maggot and open fire on it *rolls dice* the maggot dies shuddering, its side torn open and two protruding from its head.

43 - Svartalf - Dwarven Battlemage you cast Magic Shield upon yourself. You see the stocky Hag by Kyp's body in the left of the room and make your way to attack her.
*rolls dice* The stocky Hag turns towards you and casts a spell *rolls dice* a boulder flies against your Magic Shield and bounces off. Two arrows then bounce of your magic shield.

41 - Zayd ibn Yasin - Human Ranger smiling opens fire on the Stocky Hag *rolls dice* she puts an arm up and the arrows stop in mid-air, she then directs them towards Svartalf *rolls dice* they bounce of his magic shield.

5 - Dunward - Human Mage casts Magic Shield upon himself. You cast levitate on the ring on the tall Hags left hand *rolls dice* the Hag resists your magic.

52 - Roark - Elven Druid seeing how the Hag is not where you thought she was I haven't gone with your last action in case you no longer want to do that.
Zayd shouts to Svartalf "Urgh sorry about that!. Thank God for magic shield eh?"
Hmmm, who would have guessed that taking a nap in the middle of a fight is not a good idea...

The current situation does not look good. We need to finally get at least one of the Hags down for good. The tall Hag is silenced, wounded and on the ground kneeling, so she should be ripe for the picking. Finishing her should be the top priority, especially because of the damn ring. Decapitation would be the best to make sure she stays dead. I will try to keep the stocky Hag busy in the meantime. She moved/teleported to the left of the room and that area should be clear from friendly fire.

I keep any distance I have from her so she does not interrupt me and cast Ice Lance on the stocky Hag. Hopefully the physical nature of the spell (it is a big spike of ice after all) means that she will not resist it and the piercing capabilities should be able to penetrate her skin (if I hit of course, I still have yet to hit with an offensive spell :P). Maybe luck will finally be on my side.

zlaywal: Zayd shouts to Svartalf "Urgh sorry about that!. Thank God for magic shield eh?"
Yeah, Magic Shield seems to be the main life saver these days :P.

It seems to still be holding after the boulder and 2 arrows, but I bet it will not last much more. I still have Reflect Spells and Protection from Evil on.

----------
Svartalf - Dwarven Battlemage
Spells - Magic Shield, Reflect Spells, Dispel Magic, Fireball, Ice Lance
Spell casts remaining- I had 1 left from before turn 10 and got 7 more charges afterwards. Since then, I cast 2 (Dispel Magic and Magic Shield). So I should have 6 remaining.
Equpiment - Mithril Chainmail, Warhammer of Smiting (which destroys armors and shields).
Potions - 2x Cure Disease

Active effects:
Reflect spells - cast on turn 9 by me, expires on turn 14
Protection from Evil - cast on turn 11 by Eranear, expires on turn 16
Magic Shield - cast on turn 12 by me, expires on turn 17, already took a boulder and 2 arrrows. Probably will not hold much longer.

Thank you very much.

"Hard to feel sorry for an adventurer who wanted a nap in the midst of battle, and also I think I might have assassinated his cousin some time ago, so uh... too bad for Kyp. At least I can help FartySmer... BlartFartBartTart... whatever his name is."
Roark casts Cure Poison on SmartyFartBlart
"Don't be such a baby, it's only poison." Roark says. "Nothing to be so dramatic about. I get poisoned all the time, and look at me."

Roark turns to Taz. "Hey Taz, did you know that hags blow up reeeaaaal good? It's true. All that bile makes them extemely volatile. So why don't you have some fun and fire at that witch at the left side of the room?"
hm i was thinking that would have gone different... I didn't even think i was close the the hag...
also it seems my head was thrown at 35 - Aslain Melemir before i was beheaded... just a thought.

But I am dead thanks for letting me have a great time.
If someone resurrects me thanks before hand (just make sure to put my head near the body,) I probably will never do that again lol.

If you mean the arrow that went through the Stock Hag's illusion, it didn't kill anyone, It hit a shoulder and the character fell to the ground.
