Current Situation:
!!1 TURN LEFT TO ESCAPE!!
In the large archway:
Triock, SmartyFartBlart, Aslain, Zayd, and Max walk through the portal and have escaped. Thras walks through the portal and Taz separates from Thras. Taz looks at Thras, sniffs the air, then lets out a maniacal laugh before running off into the woods. Thras (and Taz) have escaped. Dunward picks up Roosevelt's body and casts Detect Secrets. Eranear picks up Rudy's body and sees the results of Detect Secrets. In the right of the room, a door shape is glowing red. Three separate bricks above the door also glow red. Og'rialt tosses 3 of the Hag's eyeballs (eww) into the air looking for secrets. One hovers above a spot by the Beholders corpse. The second speeds off down the hall to hover in the middle, near the entrance. The third shoots off down the right side of the room to hover near Eranear, by the top left highlighted brick. Og'rialt moves to Eranear and the third eyeball's location. Og'rialt's finger bone necklace points to the door shape in front of him.

1.Intuiting that some or all of the bricks need to be pressed in order to get the door to open and treasure to be revealed, Og'rialt takes stock for a moment in which his paranoia is running rampant. "What if this is some puzzle that I missed the hint to? What if this eyeball is also pointing at a trap? What if..." Yet time is running out. If Dunward hadn't cast his detect secrets spell, his only hints would've been the eyeball hovering and the finger bone pointing. A powerful hag enchanted both to be helpful to her. Time to trust that she knew her business.
Ready to dodge out of the way if he has come to the wrong conclusion and triggers a trap ("it's not a trap if you know it's a trap!") and trusting in his magic shield to deflect poison darts and the like, Og'rialt stands back a bit to take a firm grip on his mithril axe, and uses it to firmly push the top left brick. If the outline of the door doesn't open, then after a short wait he will hesitantly press the middle brick as well, and finally the right/bottom one.
Assuming the space behind the door is filled with treasure, Og'rialt swiftly puts the eyeball back in its pouch, grabs as much of the most valuable treasure as possible (pointing out additional valuable pieces to Eranear, if applicable), with a particular eye toward useful magic items for the world outside. After doing so, he is once again gripped by the inexorable dread which gripped him in the central chamber, and remembers the visceral need to get out of here. Og'rialt rushes to the portal as swiftly as his dwarven legs can carry him, shooing Dunward and Svartalf to get out when he nears them, and then diving through himself. (If there is a portal behind the door as well, Og'rialt shouts to Dunward to get out and meet up later, and then dives through that portal instead.)
If any traps are triggered which hamper Eranear (or himself in such a way that he's still capable of action), Og'rialt makes him drink one of his healing potions (or quaffs it himself). If Eranear is completely incapitated, and Og'rialt feels that he has the strength to carry him, he does so.
If Og'rialt somehow misses out on escaping by portal, he points his silver mirror at a blank wall, and if that doesn't work, he consults his guide.
2.I stand aside for the rock throwing as Eranear proposes. I enter first as I'm the one with better protections. I however don't wait around with guarding each other while looting, but just grab what I can as previously specified and hightail it for the portal.
43 - idbeholdME - Svartalf - Dwarven Battlemage -- ( Protection Against Evil, Reflect Spells)
I shout in the direction of Eranear and Og'rialt:
"Move it people! From what I can tell, this portal isn't going to last much longer. Even if you find something, being encumbered by it as you are making a run for a closing portal is less than ideal. Don't let greed make you lose the most valuable thing you have; your own lives."
Hoping that my words make them realize the urgency of the current situation, I grab Rudy's body and drag it through the portal with me, hopefully joining the others who have already made it through.
80 - Green_Hilltop - Eranear - Elf Paladin -- ( Protection Against Evil, Reflect Spells, Bless )
1. "Move back!" I shout, and wait for O'grialt to stand a safe distance away from the door, as I have done. Then I take out a rock I've taken in the very first turn and throw it and the left top brick with my right hand, the left having the shield ready. If something happens and someone gets injured, I give a health potion to the one who needs it or cast a Heal, whichever is faster and takes less time, so we can hurry to get out before the turn ends.
If nothing happens and the door isn't activated, then I throw another one at the middle one, and then at the right one, if nothing happens again. If the door is already opened after the first brick, I ask Og'rialt if he wants to go first due to his Shield, or if I should go, and then we go in. I take any items of interest (if they're in a chest which I can pick up, I suggest I carry it through the portal where hopefully Max and Aslain are still waiting and can safely open it), sharing them fairly and equally with Og'rialt. And then we head back to the portal, where I pick up Rudy and step through. Once safely there, I get my spells back and resurrect both Rudy and Roosevelt, if we've made it there in time.
2. After we're through and I scan the room for any potential threats or dangers I should take care of first, I start looting whatever seems fine, priority is on books and magical tomes, and things that might pertain to the mystery of this dungeon and why was the Beholder here, then magical and holy items and lastly treasure. While doing so I keep an eye out on Og'rialt, and should he start doing something that might put him in danger (like opening a chest that might explode), I make sure to have distance between us so I can go and heal him if he needs it. Then when we're done, we run back to the portal, and if there's still Roosevelt remaning by the portal and Dunward didn't take him, I haul him with us. If there is a chest that is very large and light enough for me to carry it, I take it with me to be opened by someone on the other side, rather than risk getting hurt by a trap, throwing Roosevelt through the portal first and then following with the chest and other items I might have collected. If Og'rialt is incapacitated or dies, and I can't wake him up with my Heal spell or potion so he can walk out of the dungeon on his own, I haul his body through the portal as well, quickly stuffing treasure into his pockets we can divide later.
