Squee carefully takes aim and fires a precision shot at the presumably stunned Illithid.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Holy crap! Real life got in the way, and I'd kind of written my poor elf off, and here I am, still alive, and there's some folks pulling off a much better rescue than I managed to do with the halfing!!

Doc0075: BJ the Penguin Pirate Captain turns to face 37 - OldNick and asks him "Do ye like riddles Drow? Answer me this."

"What wears an eyepatch and robs ships at night?"
"A Vampirate." I say grinning to BJ.

OldNick - Drow Thief - northern main tunnel.
Holy potatoes this is better than snorting mithril dust! People should pay illithids for mind blasting them! :D

Just a reminder that my Holy Guardian maintains its assault on illithid, I hope it can do that even with me stunned.

As I advance I can see my friends standing still in some sort of mental confusion, I could perceive something that tried to enter in my head too, but probably for pure luck I was able to avoid it

Withouth hesitation I tighten the grip on my battle axe and once again I charge to strike the strange figure!

This is *not* what I expected when I went through the portal.

"Greetings gentlemen, this is Siegfried the Paladin. Is this an undead problem that I can see?"

(I obviously have a lot of reading to catch up with. In the meantime, I inform you I have 1x Turn Undead spell plus a silver sword that deals more damage to undead).

"Or is anyone in need of healing?"

(I also have left 2x Heal and 2x Cure disease).

"By the way, have you seen an old witch with an honorable kidnapped paladin?"

(I haven't forgotten about our disappeared comrade Roosevelt).

Fish The Half-Orc Berserker

More undead! And a squid! Except for the undead captain, I'll chop down whichever enemy is closest to me.

(Have you gotten the new spells on Turn 10 or did you use up all of your first five spells before that and this is the new batch? Doc refreshed spells for paladins as well, so you can pick whichever ones you want, and you get those on top of those you haven't used yet. Doc said he was contacting everyone in his time on Turn 9 to ask what would they like, so check your chat if you haven't done so in the past few days in case he's written to you - if not, I suggest PMing him as he might've forgotten about you.)

I await in the shadows to see what transpires with the Illithid in the side passage, my magic spells at he the ready...

Posting this here for info purposes

Mind Blast (5e Spell)
Mind blast 1st-level evocation
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 10 foot radius
Components: S
Duration: instantaneous

You emit a psionic blast in a 10 foot radius around yourself. Hostile creatures within that area must make an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC. Hostile creature take 4d8 psychic damage and are stunned until the end of your next turn if they fail an Intelligence saving throw. Those who succeed on the saving throw take half as much damage and are not stunned.

You can also use Mind Blast once every 10 minutes as a cantrip if you are a Mind Flayer.

At Higher Levels When this spell is used at 2nd level or higher, add 1d4 psychic damage per additional level and increase the radius by 5 per level.

Without knowing the amount of damage Doc uses for the spell the facts are these. Aleric failed the saving throw, took regular damage, was stunned and can't act this coming round. Vanathradil succeeded on the saving throw, took half damage, wasn't stunned and can act this coming round. Keep in mind both of us will need healing after we are done with the illithid.

(Actually I have already had the refresh, but I mistyped the number of spells I have left. I lost my initial post and I retyped it in a rush...

The correct numbers are:

1x Turn Undead
4x Heal
4x Cure disease)
Rizzleskiff continues to levitate and circle her way northward around the walls, looking for an exit.

It's entirely possible he uses a different version of DnD or his own homebrew system, since Damon wasn't hurt at all and completely resisted the Mind Blast.
[21 - Danric the Exiled - Human Paladin] [Northern Main Tunnel]

I'm going to do my best to help Aleric's Holy Guardian kill this filthy, tentacled monster. I proceed to attack the Illithid.

Current equipment: plate armor, silver lined longsword, shield, amulet of repel arrows, 2x cure poison potion
Spells cast: 1x turn undead
Spells remaining: 2x heal, 3x turn undead, immunity to fear (passive)
(I also have a few [possibly] human bones with... uhm... some meat on them. Don't ask).
