Anyone ever have the sailor guy never show up at the very beginning of Morrowind? :P You just stand there in the cargo hold like an idiot.

In the case of the Deus Ex, the voice acting for sure. It is incredibly corny, exaggerated, and terrible but I can't help but to be drawn in the world despite it. You can tell that at the very least the voice actors, even if they are developers with no acting experience, are trying their best. Despite it coming out... weird, it still sounds somewhat convincing since you can hear effort and conviction in the voice acting. Yes... even emotionless JC has some conviction in his voice. :P

I'm currently enjoying (again) bartering flaw in Fallout 1 game. Even after I installed latest unofficial patch called "Fixt" I can still use Ian as mule with unlimited capacity to store all my things.

Not sure if i'll be on-topic, but here's a short story of a friend who got to try Oblivion several years ago:
I was playing Oblivion the other night and i reached a point where i met Baurus and after a short dialogue, i was unable to continue with the quest because Baurus did some extraordinary stuff like dying, missing etc. I couldn't make any progress in the main story because of this bug. I knew this glitch was a sign to stop playing the damned game, but i didn't... Later i found a solution in some fora and continued playing... Well, after so many hours in the game, i feel like i should have stopped to the "sign"... I feel this game destroyed my everyday life! *laughs*
Every time i got the same bug in my playthrough of Oblivion (i think it's a fairly common bug), i remembered the above story and laughed!

Yeah, that happened to me too. Also, I like how imbalance some of the powers are like how Thorton can turn invisbiel and knock out people in a room for 60 seconds without others in the room realizing what is happening. Or how he can become a super human martial artist, which is really strange with how the story has no or little sci fi/fantasy elements, bu I enjoyed it greatly.

Cadaver747: Really? I though Bethesda claimed that they will implement special system in Oblivion where you can't get stuck because of some NPC dying or worse, either by making them immortal or by finding a suitable sidekick. Anyhow all my glitches were solved by console commands since the good old Morrowind.
Yep, many NPCs were immortal and if you managed to hurt them much, they went unconscious for a while. Baurus on the other hand was being unconscious all the time, without any reason. Actually it wasn't Bethesdas fault this specific bug since it was possibly caused by the OOO mod (in my opinion the best mod for Oblivion and the "proper way to play it, although tastes differ) that we' ve been using both my friend and me. Fortunately, there were some console commands that helped too but I can't remember any details as it's been years since then.paladin181

It is coming to PC. :D
A game that was fundamentally flawed that I love is... Well, pretty much every Elder Scrolls title, but particularly The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall. There was so much intention there, and in reality the game was a broken mess at release. That did'nt stop me from getting it in a Babbages (remember those?) on a vacation in Florida. I couldn't wait to get it home and try it out on my PC, which I wasn't sure could even run it at the time. Despite its flaws that would make any customer scoff at the release as an unfinished product in this day and age, it has a character and a charm all its own and I still love going back and reliving those memories to this day.

Two Worlds series.
To me, the series' more serious virtue lies in the fact that it pulls no punches being itself.
Supposedly original Two Worlds had "worst" voice acting - I perso love it as much as BioWare upmarket voice acting, Or even more - because when will this ever be repeated?
When Two Wolrs set fourth natural ("amateurish"?) voices - purportedly internal workers minus lead hero - this is exactly how we would sound, if randomly pulled into a story listened by others.
I am very respectful and firm about the value-add of voice acting in PRG gaming in general, and when it would be non-generic and bland voicing, in particular.
Thence Two Worlds voice cast - I rather like it, while being nonetheless slightly reserved about the "internal employees" narrative. It seems slightly too heroic, and cool. Were it true, I'd find it so. Quite cool and slightly heroic.
But any which way - the "worst" will be remembered way past any semi-decent bland average. At least, I will! ;-)
