I had an EA Origin account since 2013. Today I check my email and i have 3 Answers HQ emails, not knowing what they were, but saying I was given badges for being a member. And 1 more in my promotions tab on gmail. They were saying Hello abc130238513, seemingly just random numbers and it seemed like spam email or that someone signed up for something using my email account somehow.

So I get on google. And google Answers HQ, and go to the website because its a safe site. And then it starts calling me by my EA gamertag, and the emails change to start using my EA name?

By this point I am like wtf EA, you messed up bad with Star Wars Battlefront 2, and with the Battlefield series, and now you are gonna force me to have this stupid forum account too?

So I investigate, and it says I have had the forum account since 2015, which I never signed up for, or gave them permission to create. And I contact support, and they dodge my questions. And repeatedly say "thats strange". Yeah I know thats strange, what the heck is going on here?

And then they tell me its mandatory with my account because I own games. So, given that I only owned 2 games on Origin that I paid for, and 1 is a dead game, and the other I own separate from their crappy platform and company. I told them to delete the account.

So, EA...continues to do stupid things which piss people off. Even to me, a person who never uses Origin, and only owns 2 games on their platform "Battlefield 4 which was a gift and Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box, because it had the dlc missing from the steam version" The rest of my games were all free stuff I have collected over time and own on Steam anyways.

Wow EA. I really despise your company now.

I have an Origin acc, never experience any mandatory forum bullsh#t. No that I like EA very much but they haven't communicated with me much, to be honest they never actually contact me and completely ignored my ticket to tech. support. So in my case it's the opposite way.
I remember to post some neutral post in some of their forums and then stopped doing soon after I get to know that it's possible to get a permament ban for any expression of disapproval of EA politics.
So since they have Command & Conquer collection as exclusive I'll never contact them again ;)

Slightly back OT, I have an Origin account. Or had. I think it's in limbo because I can neither remember the e-mail address I used nor my password, but I think I have to sign in to contact support. I had three games on it, it is a great loss.
