So, here's a simple question for you guys. For Morrowind, and for Oblivion, what are the mods that you would keep as your final complete package. Simple, eh? Let me clarify the problem and some paramters. For years now I have, as I am sure most of you have also, collected mods, and installed various ones and had playthroughs with various different mod lists. Which is great and all, but I was just scanning my back folders, and mods for Oblivion is over 34gb (thats not installed or anything, all compressed), which for instance in 2012 I was playing with 980 mods installed.
So the aim here is to trim this down to what is actually useful from 2018 onwards, lots of them are discontinued, lots have been merged up. So I am looking for recommendations following these constraints:
Currently not looking at Skyblivion or Obliviwind - i.e. projects whereby a previous game is played in a newer engine. Whilst these are great they have some ways to go.
All mods must be lore friendly, no aniume graphics for instance.
The Nehrim (Arktwend for Morrowind) series which is excellent is outside the scope of this being a separate entity
Morrowind:
This is pretty straightforward now, as for a while the main two mods I used and kept up with are Overhaul and Rebirth, which can be used togther, and (unless there are serious objections) would form the basis of any modding further. So in this scenario, is there anything necessary to add onto this build and is compatible with this build (can include quests, bug fixes, etc.),
Oblivion:
Again pretty straightforward af the most excellent guide by Bevilex:

I am considering that install as the basis for any future modding. So the question as above, is there anything you deem to be missing from that, essential quests, bug fixes etc.
Essentially what I am getting at here is that Morrowind and Oblivion are pretty ancient now, and most modders have moved onto Skyrim, so really looking to draw a line under these two and keep what really matters.
I realise that this is still rather a large scope question so interested in opinions and suggestions bearing in mind the base builds given.
I have as I was typing this just come across two further questions which tie in:
Is Rebirth + Overhaul + Tamriel Rebuilt = worth it, or is it better to drop one? I might have a go at all three.
Finally is OpenMW "better" (i.e. more stable better for use nowadays, than base Morrowind? I.e. is rebuilt/overhaul/TR all compatible with OpenMW and with each other in there - just looking at choices for base install.
