Hi everybody

As you can tell by my post count, I don't have much time to check GOG and certainly not the forums despite it being my primary gaming platform. I started playing Dying Light a few months ago and haven't played anything since. There's only been a couple of games to capture me like that in my few decades of gaming... Its really fantastic!

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I was hoping someone had a little more info on it. Has anything been said about DL2 coming to GoG upon release? They haven't announced anything that I could find and there's nothing on the dev site.

After probably 100s of hours at 100% completion of the main game and starting the following, I still think it's one of the most amazing games I've ever played. Even with 100% of the story and side quests completed, I have a great time just running around killing stuff, doing the random encounters, finding all the secrets, trying to get rare weapons, completing the repeatables, and bounties.

Anyway, if anyone came upon something, or has more solid info about when it may make it here, I would love to hear about it. It will no doubt be a deluxe preorder for me

Have to agree that Dying Light was one of the most enjoyable games I've played in the last couple of years. Hopefully the sequel will make its way to GOG too.

Hell yes you should try it! The Following is an old school expansion, an actual expansion that could really be its own game.

I dont remember an expansion of this scope since the days of boxed cds, where it would be a true expansion to the game and not just a couple of nee missions and/or features.

Witcher 3's Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine are also in this spirit. They add a lot of stuff, story and game time.

I do have the whole witcher series. I am kind of OCD when it comes to game series in that Im obssessed with finishing them in order. I played the first witcher, but I just couldnt get into it because of the combat. A friend told me 2 and 3 have a much different combat system, but since its a continuing story I feel like I have to finish the first to try the rest. Im in a similar situation with Max Effect, but I do enjoy the combat in ME. I just messed up my stat point allocation and restarted the game since I wasnt that far in. I doing some of the same quests in the starting areas just bored me so much, which is whwn I got into DL. When I get done with DL Ill go back to either ME or the Witcher though! I would absolutely love to see ME come to GoG eventually!

If you want more OCD fodder... read the books first, the games are a continuation of the story of the books and they often use characters or refer events from before. And IMO, knowing the books adds a lot to the games - not only did many things make a lot more sense, I could also appreciate the detail and love with which CDPR recreated the world.

I think what was quite unique about this game is that even if you finished the main story, you just can't get enough of it.

This is actually on my radar simply because Chris Avellone worked on it, and the trailer from E3 looked pretty good.

I never thought I'd be into a first person parkour zombie-apocalypse game either, but it pulled me in as well :P. I'm also hoping the sequel will be here sooner rather than later.

Can certainly recommend the game to anyone who hasn't played it yet.

I will add my voice, Dying Light is a great game and all should own it.

Dying Light 2 I am suspecting will take a while to come here. The reason being is that Dead Island games are not here. That and the fact that tech land have their own store front (gemly is it?). There is also the looming threat of epic store exclusivity. Don’t get me wrong, I would buy it day 1 if it did come here and with call of Juarez appearing it’s possible. It’s just I am not going to get excited until it does actually appear.

I really enjoyed Dying Light... kind of hate The Following. To be more precise, I REALLY hate the driving. I didn't buy a parkour game for the wide open spaces, and respawning in a tiny tower, too far from the car, surrounded by elite enemies, with no way to skip to morning is incredibly not fun.

Well, I have to admit that while I'm not a fan of Zombie movies or games, I liked Dying Light. So I'm kind of curious about DL2.
