I played the entire series when it first came out and now with the lockdown I bought the series recently and love it. DS1 has been running smoothly but now I'm at the point near the Bandit's den and the game is crashing. I did see a window pop up when the game is loading about shift or control and tab to enable something but the game doesn't load. I've found topics to disable In Game Overlay but haven't been able find that open in GOG 2.0. Anyone experience this issue? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks all.

Is it happening when you load the saved game? I had an issue where the game would continuously crash in the swamp by the bandit camp when loading a save. I had to reload an old save from over an hour before and just move through that entire area in one session making sure I didn't have to reload until I was far enough from the place it was crashing.

Ooops, googled this thread and thought it was in the game specific forum :P Bow before my necromantic powers!!!!

Just bumping this thread because the crashing when near the bandit camp is still happening. Shortly after the nomad camp, the crash area begins. Once you delve a little bit into the swamp, loading saves works correctly again.

So as said, you have to go through this area in one session, without loading. Seems like there is something buggy in one of the map chunks with the bandits. Also, the entire forest area before the swamp seems quite crash prone. Happened to me numerous times when breaking random barrels/crates etc.

Happened to make a save just at the border of the "crash zone". The area in the screenshot is the last you can safely save until the swamp.
