A Dungeon of Love for Valentine’s Day from GOG.com and EA!

Today of all days, a good part of the world celebrates love in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. For us at GOG.com, there is no greater love than the love of classic PC games. We love them, you love them, and you know what? We love you as well! So we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by partnering up with our friends at Electronic Arts to offer you an exclusive Dungeon Keeper promotion:

For the next 48 hours Dungeon Keeper Gold (complete with the Deeper Dungeons expansion) can be added to your GOG.com account for free! If you already own it on GOG.com, you can still get one extra gift-code for the game and present it to your significant other gamer, or a friend.

Spend time quality time protecting your Dungeon Heart from invaders and experience this classic series first hand. Further, the excellent sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2, is available for only $1.49 as a part of our special Valentine's Day promo. The offer lasts until Sunday, February 16, at 10:59AM GMT.

Would you rather storm and loot dungeons rather than protect them? Our special Destination: Dungeons & Dragons promo has you covered with a great collection of RPG classics up to 80% off!

fronzelneekburm: One little question: I've received a gift code for Dungeon Keeper. Will that stay valid until after the promo ends or should I hurry up?
Gift codes are valid indefinitely.

HypersomniacLive: Got mine after about 1.5 hrs - thanks again GOG! :-)

GhostwriterDoF: My new, Free, Dungeon Keeper silently slipped onto my game shelf in under an hour... :)

Thanks GoG and (EA?) for this offer!
Ditto. Thanks, GOG!

foxworks: Ditto. Thanks, GOG!
Double ditto :) A big thanks to GOG for their generosity!
Thank you GOG for being awesome again!

And for the first time since I joined the site the servers don't break down during a free game promo. I almost start to miss the GOG-Atlas-Bear.

You sure? after the stupidity of people trying to sell the fallout ones or whatever it was that caused the gift ones to be cancelled
Well done GOG, thank you!

JamesBond007: Sounds like you have the same problem on IE9. I'm not going to install a different browser just for this game. Could you give me a giftcode via PM?
avatar
korell: You can only claim it once and as I didn't own it already it went straight into my account.

Anyway, I didn't install Firefox to get it, I have a portable Firefox that works, so no installation was needed.
Thanks. BTW, maybe this was just a server overload, becuase after several tries, it actually worked in IE9! I've got the game! Now I'm waiting for confirmation email.

The game isn't down loading. I clicked on the icon and it just goes in circles. It has been doing that for the last 20 min. Should refresh it again or will it eventually load without having to do anything?

Thank you for the help Foxworks. After installing the GOG downloader it says That I was successful. I am now waiting for an email for the link to start downloading the game. Does anyone know how long it takes for you to actually get the email?
I just received the email. Thank you GOG for the free game.

Possibly server overload, but GOG's The Enigmatic T asked me about the problem and came back saying IE doesn't like the button so advised me to use a different browser, which makes me think it is a code issue that IE has difficulties with.

Someone else experienced an issue but had success using the GOG Downloader.

I encountered it the first couple of times I attempted to download the game. Fortunately, it had finally managed to rid itself of the weight of the world (most likely due to the addition of servers post-Insomnia sale).
Thank you GOG ;)

Damn you, gog. I didn't want to buy any more games this year because I already had way too many to play and now I have three more of which I bought two - DK II and System Shock. Just couldn't resist.
Thanks GOG, very kind of you:)

phaolo: - Pixeljunk Monsters HD - is it better than the tons of Tower Defense games around? I'd like to play the best titles.

Arghmage: It deepends on what you consider the "best". For me PvZ is still the best TD around, but PJM is also really nice. The graphics is okay, but reaching a perfect game can be quite a challenge. I would put it in the top 5% of a TD-Games.
Yes, PvZ is a cute and well made little game indeed (despite its weird concept).
Who wins between a game like Kingdom Rush and PJM?
