A Dungeon of Love for Valentine’s Day from GOG.com and EA!

Today of all days, a good part of the world celebrates love in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. For us at GOG.com, there is no greater love than the love of classic PC games. We love them, you love them, and you know what? We love you as well! So we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by partnering up with our friends at Electronic Arts to offer you an exclusive Dungeon Keeper promotion:

For the next 48 hours Dungeon Keeper Gold (complete with the Deeper Dungeons expansion) can be added to your GOG.com account for free! If you already own it on GOG.com, you can still get one extra gift-code for the game and present it to your significant other gamer, or a friend.

Spend time quality time protecting your Dungeon Heart from invaders and experience this classic series first hand. Further, the excellent sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2, is available for only $1.49 as a part of our special Valentine's Day promo. The offer lasts until Sunday, February 16, at 10:59AM GMT.

Would you rather storm and loot dungeons rather than protect them? Our special Destination: Dungeons & Dragons promo has you covered with a great collection of RPG classics up to 80% off!

Beautiful! Nobody does (did?) God Games like Bullfrog. Thanks a lot, GOG!
Never played it, but it sounds interesting and it's free. Thanks, GOG!

Riskenator: Hi there,

It's been an hour for me and I haven't received an email with a confirmation yet. Any tips?

Thanks.
Well, there's a way to see if you're in the queue; if you go to the front page and you see a "get it now!" button next to the DK devil, you're not in the queue. If you see "Enjoy your game", then you'll get a code...eventually.
We do have scores of thousands of people in the line. It may take a little while.

korell: An update. After using Firefox to get the button to work (IE9 still shows the button even though I got it to work on Firefox) I had to wait something like 1 hour 30 minutes for the email to come through. I checked my account about 10 minutes after the email arrived and Dungeon Keeper was there sitting in my game shelf right at the very bottom, last on the shelf.

Download speed for the game and the extras was normal for my 2.5Mbps downstream speed, so I got it all downloaded in about 15-20 minutes.

:)

Oh, and IE9 still shows the button (which still doesn't work), even though the game is now on my shelf and downloaded.
Sounds like you have the same problem on IE9. I'm not going to install a different browser just for this game. Could you give me a giftcode via PM?

mariahcarle: I ordered DK, yet I was sent several other games I did NOT order instead?
Order number: #4HMECPNABR8
You get 7 free games when you sign up on GOG. Everyone receives those. DK will come separately.
For what its worth, well done GOG, your handling this marvellously! and although its already been said - have patience my fellow gog members - good things come to those who wait - in other words for those who just don't get it- shut up and quit moaning!
Personally i like this method that you have chosen to deal with the influx of "give me my freebie", a pat on the back from me GOG!

now onto the more important stuff, the recognition of today! very nicely done - two sales, two new games and a freebie! wow you've out done yourselves this time GOG!
oh and im really likening how the site hasn't ground to a halt (yet), the poor servers must be on liquid nitrogen :p

Your frontpage is *still* broken for people using the secure site. This has been broken since the Christmas sale at least, and I know that multiple support tickets were sent in about it. Can you please get in touch with tech support and ask them to get on this?

Right now, I can't log in from the main page at all. Logging in only works if I go to the community section of the site first. Having to use stupid workarounds to log in and purchase games is frustrating and makes me less likely to purchase from GOG. When there's a deal that is only available from the main page it's even more frustrating.
Got mine after about 1.5 hrs - thanks again GOG! :-)
Just had to say awesome thank you!! many hours in my younger years lost to this classic they just don't make them like they used to :D time to loose many more hours lol :P
Yup, this is positively amazing!

In terms of awesome giveaways, no other site can compete with gog: Fallout series, Duke Nukem, now Dungeon Keeper... great stuff!

One little question: I've received a gift code for Dungeon Keeper. Will that stay valid until after the promo ends or should I hurry up?

I already owned it but was pleasantly surprised when a gift code showed up in my inbox. Thanks, GOG!

You can only claim it once and as I didn't own it already it went straight into my account.

Anyway, I didn't install Firefox to get it, I have a portable Firefox that works, so no installation was needed.
Thank you for this awesome game! Time to get the Pentium 1 out of the cellar :D

My new, Free, Dungeon Keeper silently slipped onto my game shelf in under an hour... :)

Thanks GoG and (EA?) for this offer!
