I loved this game, and after advice from a friend I cam here and bought it, downloaded and played the first level.
I don't know/remember how to get on the second level/to the second world, any advice?
I thought it automatically took you to the next level when you killed the knight, but it hasnt happened - have i missed something?
Thanks in advance!
IIRC doesn't a prompt come up telling you to hit a button to end the level, or hit space bar or something? It has been awhile since I sat down and played DK.

That was it! Space bar, thankyou! No message prompt came up(maybe in my frantic dungeon keeping i missed it) but that worked! :)
No problem. DK is timeless, go enjoy it now.

You may have accidentally dismissed the message without reading it. It happens.

Dungeon Keeper is one of my all-time favorite games, btw :-)
I got this game when it was given for free and still haven't started it. Stupid backlog.

Then it's about time! DK is a clear must have played ;-)

I tried and, as embarrassing as it is for me to admit being one of the older forum members, I just couldn't get around the graphics. Most of the time older graphics don't bother me, but I think it was the combination of that along with what you are doing in the game. I can take big nasty pixels if I'm just running around, but with a management game it's too big of a pain in the ass.

You may want to try DK2 then. Maybe that can get you into it. I do prefer DK1 over DK2, but DK2 is also an excellent game.

You really should give it a go. It's fantastic.

Incidentally (well, actually not incidentally) many Bullfrog games require you to press the space bar to finish a level after fulfilling the win conditions. It was the same in Syndicate, Magic Carpet, IIRC also in Populous: The Beginning and a few others. In retrospect that's pretty weird, ain't it.

You probably didn't know that you need to press the R button or something to enter SVGA mode which has twice the resolution (or four times, depending on how you look at it). Should be a lot easier on the eyes.

I knew. It didn't do enough.

That's what SHE said!

It kinda made more sense in my head...

If you ever give Dungeon Keeper 1 another try, you should take a closer look at KeeperFX. It improves the game significantly.

I will. :D

Thank you!
