It can't be a bug.
You can accidentally cause situations where you try to divide by zero and the program crashes or whatever, but there's no way to accidentally cause this to happen.

Now, I don't have this game, and I don't know if all the information is correct or not, but assuming it is...

"FAILED TO LOGIN TO GOG ONLINE SERVICES.
CONTINUING MAY MEAN PLAYING WITHOUT ACCESS TO PURCHASED ADD-ONS."

That kind of message doesn't pop out of nowhere as a result of some unexpected bug. Somebody has programmed that message in there with a purpose.

It can show up unintentionally, but there must be situations where that message is intended to be shown, otherwise it wouldn't have been included in the code.

While I'm not the most DRM paranoid person in the world, I do find it very disturbing that there are apparently DRM mechanisms in GOG games, even if there wouldn't be any active DRM there (for the time being).

Well, there are several games on GOG with DRM-mechanisms. Some of them even in use. GOG has abandoned being a 100% DRM-free store and they allow DRM-ed 'bonus content'. So buying here is no guarantee that the game is DRM-free and all we can do is check on a case by case base whether a game is DRM-ed or not (that was what this discussion was about). Of course you can also decide not to buy on GOG at all until they reconsider and become a guaranteed DRM-free store again. (That's what I am doing)

The game was released on other platforms that have online validation, this message was most likely used there, they probably just changed the name of the service from Epic or Steam to Gog when it was released here and forgot to disable it.

They are fixing those cases, Wasteland 3 DRM of the Pre Order bonus was removed in the latest patch as they said they will do it!!!

Really? That's great news! But I guess it was the dev who decided to remove it, having been asked by their fans. Not GOG who made the dev remove the DRM.

Because unfortunately GOG shows no interest at all in forcing devs to remove DRM. See Absolver (GOG never even tried), No Man's Sky (GOG said they'd talk to the dev - but nothing came of it) or Cyberpunk - where CDPR is the dev themselves. Or the other games from the list.

What I said remains true. Buying on GOG is no guarantee against DRM anymore, because GOG stopped enforcing the no DRM rule. Sure, most of the games here are still DRM-free, but for new releases all will depend on the dev and publisher. GOG has given up their principle. Otherwise they wouldn't have DRM-ed bonus content in their own game.

If possible, can you guys fix the issue with Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae running the old version on GOG site and Galaxy running the latest patch?

It's annoying that I need GOG galaxy to have the latest version of the game. Please and thank you!
