Lifthrasil: According to the report in the release thread, the message is a bug and will be removed in the next update.
It can't be a bug. You can accidentally cause situations where you try to divide by zero and the program crashes or whatever, but there's no way to accidentally cause this to happen.
Now, I don't have this game, and I don't know if all the information is correct or not, but assuming it is...
"FAILED TO LOGIN TO GOG ONLINE SERVICES.
CONTINUING MAY MEAN PLAYING WITHOUT ACCESS TO PURCHASED ADD-ONS."
That kind of message doesn't pop out of nowhere as a result of some unexpected bug. Somebody has programmed that message in there with a purpose.
It can show up unintentionally, but there must be situations where that message is intended to be shown, otherwise it wouldn't have been included in the code.
While I'm not the most DRM paranoid person in the world, I do find it very disturbing that there are apparently DRM mechanisms in GOG games, even if there wouldn't be any active DRM there (for the time being).
