Ghorpm: Allow me to remind you that mistermumbles got the "X" marks correctly - whenever you die, you have to come back to the very beginning of the level. And the game is (in)famous because of that.

F4LL0UT: You know, there's quite a few frustrating platform games. I think you will have to give us a little more to go on. Also I'm wondering whether the game is known to GOGers anyway. You know, our kind is not too fond of new platform games. :P
I can assure you that the game is known here. But obviously you are right, it's too little to guess it, that's why I called it a joke ;)

Anyway, here is a new picture and I want a correct answer within 5 minutes after posting it. Now it's WAY too obvious even though I only spent 5 minutes on it ;P MS Paint rulez! ;)

You are one minute too late but I will forgive you. Yes, it's Volgarr the Viking. It's pretty infamous because of the lack of checkpoints and I had a few discussions about it on this forum. But yeah, just like I admitted above: there were not enough hint to guess it.

Well, with the "newer than SMB" hint I probably would have guessed it if I had played it - I made a mental checklist of all the more recent platform games I have played and didn't come up with a single one that fit the pic (the closest I got was probably Escape Goat), so I probably would have guessed Volgarr if it had even crossed my mind.

Either way, next one. Should be pretty darn easy.

Either way its more entertaining to look at than the actual Matrix Trilogy, minus the huge battle at the end of #3; that was awesome!

Actually the "trap" I set up by calling it "Morpheus" was a reference to The Matrix (as tinyE seems to have noticed). And nope, it's neither Deus Ex nor a Matrix game.

Well duh, that's because as time passes the relative difference between two points in the past grows.
