Ghorpm: My picture is more like a joke but it does describe a famous feature of the game quite well ;)
For some reason this makes me think of roguelikes where the Xs represent death and arrows pointing back represent starting over from scratch. *shrug* I'm probably way off with that interpretation anyway. I definitely have no clue what this game is.

That's actually pretty good interpretation :D The only difference is it's not a roguelike and hence a lot of people were furious about it :)
OK, I got another picture so that you can actually see what kind of game it is :)

It's not newer than Super Meat Boy, now is it? ;)

Allow me to remind you that mistermumbles got the "X" marks correctly - whenever you die, you have to come back to the very beginning of the level. And the game is (in)famous because of that.
So....am I right? :P

Man, it is so ugly...

But 2009 is still older than SMB! Correct me if I'm wrong but Super Meat Boy was released on 2010.

You know, there's quite a few frustrating platform games. I think you will have to give us a little more to go on. Also I'm wondering whether the game is known to GOGers anyway. You know, our kind is not too fond of new platform games. :P
