Yeah, they are frustrating and the sound they are making is absolutely dreadful. But you know what? I actually enjoyed fighting them because they were pretty smart and had their own unique tactic. I know it's nothing when compared to AI in modern games but back in 90s it was really something. You knew that they would stop before the actual attack but you kept swinging your dagger prematurely anyway.

Ok, I was pretty bored so I decided that this time I would post something better. It took me half an hour to draw it in POV-Ray. The funny thing is that I only used cone function to do it but I think the outcome looks pretty cool
