Any chance GOG can get this game, I see it's being released on Steam [15th Jan] The devs want to make a sequal, but depends on the sales of this port. not played it before, but looks good on youtube, and reading about it. something to spend my time on whilst I wait for 'Blood and wine'

All the best
It would be awesome to see this game on GOG, but I'm not very confident... :-(

The game is already on wishlist, you can find it here: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/dragons_dogma_dark_arisen

I made a Dragon's Dogma 2 wishlist.

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/dragons_dogma_2

The video game developers of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen talk about a possible sequel if enough demand is there for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Vote if you want to also have a Dragon's Dogma 2 developed and to purchase it.
Dragon's Dogma was one of the best RPGs I have played and is one of my favorite PS3 games. I would really like for it to be released on here.

What are the classes in the game and how do they play compared to Dark Souls and other RPGs?

never played Dark Souls, unfortunately. The first three classes are fairly standard Rogue (quick, ranged, sleath-ish), Warrior (or some name like that, this is the one I chose), and Mage (or some name like that, once again). the beginning classes are fairly solid and I preferred some of their skills to the later classes. I liked having a party of mages with me so they could heal and unleash some good support and offensive magic. Then there are some hybrid classes, mine was some combination between a warrior and a monk/mage thing with support magic and some pretty good skill/techniques for melee combat.

I loved the fighter like classes because they felt like my characters in monster Hunter, but here's an article from the wiki to fill in the rest:

Edit: Strider for rogue.

Probably not since it's a Capcom game. (In general, if a new game is not an an indie title, don't get your hopes up about it showing up here.)

Oh cool, thanks for the link! The hybrid classes look cool, I like the magick (wtf :D) archer and mystic knight! Assassin sounds great for a bow and melee combo. Also I thought you could pick your gender in the game, now I see that either the Assassin is a female with a male's face, or a male with boobs. Because all the avatars on the vocation wiki page have the same face. Ahahaha! It's good if they're transgender though but I dobut that - I think it's just laziness on the dev's part since looking through the wiki, it looks like as if you can play a female in the game. Can you change your appearance though? Or is the female armor only for your Pages?

Eh, I'm feeling 2016 and 2017 will be an absolutely fantastic year for AAA video games getting released for sale on gog.com.

Not all of them will be released for sale, but I have a feeling quite a few will 2016 will be the year Capcom signs onto gog.com to release more of their video games, then Take-Two and 2K will join a few months later.

Never let hope down by thinking negatively.
I doubt theyll release it here since Capcom only has released "STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 2" on gog so far.

Indeed, sex is up to you. There are also some cosmetic changes as well as some changes that affect the gameplay, like height. I made my guy look like an albino viking with pale blue eyes. Your age is also ambiguous, which means that you can end up with almost anyone in the game even if they're not necessarily what you were wanting- the inn keeper and some fat, little girl are common laments. Also, some outfits work for either gender, like a ball gown or dress I think. Your main pawn has many armour options as well as your Arisen.

You're welcome, by the way.

That's more than some publishers, but I think you're probably right.

You might be right; I shouldn't forget just a few months ago we got Bethesda and Stardock here.

What do you mean that you can end up with nayone in the game? You mean as your Page? How does it happen, what are the criteria for someone becoming your Page?

It's really weird. Your Pawn is not an option, but there's a heavy spoiler attached to that. Basically, near the end the game picks your "dearest" I think they call it and it can almost literally be anyone. If you spend lots of time talking to the inn keeper and no one else the game may pick him. Likewise, if you talk to this one girl who gives you quests the game may assume that as well. It should be denoted visually by a pinkish purple aura about them, but I heard that if you neglect to romance anyone then the game picks based on somewhat ambiguous criteria. For me, I gave tons of gifts and talked a lot to Mercedes but I heard more than once that someone got the inn keeper.

Also, the game will nudge you toward a few more concrete characters but ultimately, if you like a character who has only two lines of dialogue you can make it happen.
