Okay,okay you convinced me.I BOUGHT IT!......................Whether it is d/l and installed is another question as my backlog is MASSIVE! I need to stop going back to Anno,PatIV,F3,FNV,Skyrim,and all of the M&M series,plus heaps I haven't even looked at for at least four months or so.Gawd struth,now I forgot what I was doing.

Well that's literally the opposite to what me and my friends experiences were. It is almost impossible to get the expansion currency in any meanignful amount without having people hire your pawn, or incredibly tedious grinding. And you need that currency to get suitable gear for the expansion.

You think you have a backlog! I have about 70% of the last 30 years! Although I have done F3, NV, Skyrim.
If thats true, then the game should be banned from here, pay to win. I have to say I played it totally offline and didn't have any issue. Its been at least 3 years since I played though, so memory isn't great. By the expansion you mean the really hard dungeon? Yes, that is really hard even with a high level end of game character.

It's not a microtransaction currency, just that it was balanced around people making use of the Pawn System to hire other players pawns.

I am a big fan of Dragon's Dogma. I didn't finish the game (I rarely do these days on games that are so huge) but I enjoyed the combat in the game very much and exploring the world.

I hate timed missions too - especially in RPGs, and they can be annoying at times,but overall I don't think they ruined the game.

I am still hoping they make a sequel. Capcom did a lot of things right in the original, but historically this is a developer that really refines the original game and concepts when they make sequels. Street Fighter to SFII, Mega Man to Mega Man 2, Castlevania to Castlevania 2 - ok so Simon's Quest wasn't as good as the original - but it did lay foundation for Symphony of the Night with different paths to take and the Castlevania series got better with more refinement. Resident Evil got better (until 6, but they learned from that mess), Devil May Cry (another direct sequel that wasn't as acclaimed) but DMC 3 and 4 or both awesome.

And the big one - Monster Hunter. Considering MH: World is their best single-edition selling game, Capcom should make a DD sequel. Refine the game, drop the stuff that didn't work, keep the stuff that did and make the combat even bigger. The combat was the best part of DD IMO. If you took an open world RPG and added Monster Hunter depth combat (a lot like the Witcher series and the original DD), but instead of loot drops make them like MH drops and Final Fantasy XII drops and let players craft awesome gear that game would be special. Except, unlike MH a player will gain and increase HP and mana as they progress.

Tell me about it. I have just done my 2017 edition build of each of those and a eyeing up a big modlist on Nexus for Skyrim which the author says he will update this summer, will see if I can dig the link out.
TBH i have spent more time on modding ES games than actually playing them.

I know you already bought the game, but I just wanted to add that I feel the same way. I pass on a game if I find it has timed quests. I didn't know this one did before buying it, and I can honestly say I don't really remember any timed quests in the game (at least none that expired on me). So the ones that are there are probably so generous with the time limit that you really won't find it affects you.

I remember my game after I did the escort the giant snake head quest, I went back to my hero's home town to see if there were things there I could do. Imagine my shock when I discover this storage chest function, and inside was already stored some good looking starter gear that was way better than all the damn early swords and armor you find in the shops. After struggling with bandits for so long.

I think new game plus let's you do any timed quests you may have missed chasing after the story. In fact that's pretty much how you reach the highest levels and fight the ur-dragon, which is not the big red dragon of the main story but a dragon FAR worse.
