Not many believed that I was able to get DA running on a 2003 HP running Windows XP
rambling on and on that the eye candy was far too uber for anyone who couldn't afford
NASA computers so it would kill a 2003 system just sticking the disk in the drive.

On the lowest settings I was able to get around 16 FPS playing it.

I've just gone back to it on a new system with graphics maxed........

Man, I musta had a shitty computer.

I still don't remember it looking this bad though. I know I've been playing games
like The Fallen Lords recently but DA is looking like Playstation 2.

Random_Coffee: I can understand why DA didn't run on your 2003 HP. Dragon Age: Origins actually uses more CPU-power than The Witcher 3 does :P It uses 80-90 %, while Witcher 3 uses 40-60 %. The last time I played it was last night, and I think the game is still looking quite nice. When pausing in combat and zooming in close on the details in battle, it all looks good.
