KetobaK: Yeah, I know it's not too much and it's a crazily good offer, but that's not the final price for me, in my country we have to pay 65% of taxes for puchases in foreign currency, so a $10 games cost $16.50 dollars (in this case $8.25 for Dragon Age and $14.85 for Dragon's Dogma), and it's quite some money here, our salaries are pretty small in comparison with other first world countries. So unfortunately I have to choose one or the other, but hey, at least is one game less on my wishlist! :V
Apparently it's an unanimous decision, Dragon Age will be!!! Thanks for your help people!
what if you get it as a gift? and then send the gifter the money?

If you want to beat stuff: Dogma.
If you want to talk to stuff: Origins.

I personally dislike Dragon Age, so if I had to choose I'd go for Dragon's Dogma, but they are completely different games, not really comparable.

Short answer:
If you're more into action pick Dragon's Dogma, if strategy is what you want get Dragon Age.

Longer answer:
Dragon's Dogma is solely focused on action, you can't talk your way out of a fight or use speech checks to influence NPCs, fighting is the only option, but man is it a varied one. Warriors, Rogues and Mages play completely different from one another, even the sub classes unique in their own way. Not only do they focus on different weapon classes, but many skills differ depending on the subclass you pick.

Dragon Age on the other hand doesn't have a 'complex' 'fighting system' as Dragon's Dogma but everything else is. You can solve quests in different ways, you don't always have to resort to fighting. You can avoid them with certain choices you take and depending on those choices some encounters don't trigger while others will.

Oh, and if something (or a lot) is incorrect, sorry, I'm having a bad cold/headache. :P

Edit: Just read that you picked Dragon Age already, enjoy the game! :)

Unfortunately it's the same, they add the taxes to the exchange of the foreign currency, the only solution is to send in Argentinean Pesos and nobody wants those, not even us XD

Thanks for your answer, hope you get well soon!!! I haven't bought any yet so still help, Dragon's Dogma is giving a fight now!

Dragon's Dogma for me, it's more unique and interesting. I really like quirky games though, and Dogma is very much that,

Dragon Age was rather bland to me, I didn't finish it. So at the time I didn't like it that much.

I haven't been tempted to give it another try, but would definitely replay Dogma again one day.

i ran into a bug the last time i tried dogma so its dragon age for me, not to mention that the whole grab on to a beast thing to stupid for words actually is

olnorton: Yes, but the missing patch isn't the worst thing about the GOG version, the whole Online pawn thing on GOG is broken.
If you want the complete game experience, buy it on steam. (And this is coming from someone who has never bought a game from steam)
Having said that, I would definitely get Dragon Age Origins first.
Nah, I haven't bought any games in Steam since 2015, and I'm not a big fan of multiplayer mechanics, so in this case is the same for me.

That's wierd, for me was always at $4.99, probably was a bug, but a good bug.

If you look at the main GOG release page for the Grand RPG sale, others have pointed the price out too. It's possible it was priced incorrectly and changed shortly after. It wouldn't be the first time something like this happened.

Either way $5 is still a great price. I got it when it was initially released on GOG and paid a much higher price lol. I don't regret it one bit, totally worth it.

Dragon's Dogma is a glaring hole in my RPG history. Something about it just turns me off, I don't know why. It being a Japanese company might be part of it, not to sound stupid. I'm just not into JRPGs so even though I know it's not one it just makes me put it lower on the list.
