NOT IN ANYMORE I GOT THE GAME FROM THE ZEOGOLD 'S GIVEAWAY

Thank you for the giveaway. I like rpgs that you can play for a lot of hours and Dragon Age Origins has a lot of content from what I read so I am in.

I am always surprised by monsters that jump out of the sea when you watch a movie relaxing. The scariest I have seen was Gwoemul in the movie The Host. A fast mutated amphibian that chases people out of the water. With a mouth that has a flower shape with a lot of teeth on every side. I sometimes get this scenario in my mind where I am in the sea and I see the tail of the monster and I am trying to swim quickly to the shore but it takes me ages and the Gwoemul is approaching. But just a few seconds before it reaches me I am on the beach and just run a few meters and stop thinking I am safe on land. And when I turn around expecting to see the monster in the sea leaving, it's on the land next to me and opens its mouth and cuts off my head.

The Wicked Witch Of The West from The Wizard Of Oz.Still gives me the creeps
For me, it's a close tie between 1981's Clash of the Titans Medusa and The Neverending Story's Gmork. The anticipation prior to revealing both the gorgon and the big wolf is a nightmare for any kid. Seriously, on those scenes, I used to cover my eyes with my hands and look every so often through the tiny slits left by my fingers as an act of bravery but, sometimes (always) I caught the dreaded close up that even imagining it today sends shivers up my spine.

Worst case scenario: I travel to America and find myself in terrible pain so I go to the drugstore to buy so meds but when I open the box instead of pills there's a MEDs-USA! AH! Needless to say, the pain instantly goes away and the only thing remaining is a lingering feeling of being "stoned".

P.S: thanks for the GA Oddeus, much appreciated.
Alma in FEAR is pretty effective, even though i think the audience is supposed to empathize with her a bit as well.

Not in - I'll pick up the digital version eventually, but in theory I still have the disc somewhere, I just can't find it :(
The black headcrabs from Half-Life 2, believe it or not. The fact that they were black and a bit hairy just freaked me the hell out and any time I'd hear their weird, croaky squeel before I saw them I'd always get crazy concerned about it. Never mind the fact that they'd also poison you down to 1hp in a single hit...

Do not forget: "Don't Go To Ravenholm!"

It was strong moment...
Is there a way to skip the broodmother!
Those alien brain slugs from Animorphs. They crawl into your ear, enter your brain and take full control over your body, and you're completely powerless to do anything about it. You'd think a series of children's books wouldn't be that bad, but no. Despite the poorly written stories full of convenient deus ex machina, they managed to come up with the most potent nightmare fuel I can really think of. Kind of makes it all the more impressive, in a way.

Not in, just felt like sharing.
The regenerating necromorphs in Deadspace. They just keep on coming as your weapon ammo dwindles. One of the most tense gaming experiences in a FPS. Tense and scary when playing at night with headphones. Being alone on a derelict space craft with these things = butt clenching.
Time for the decision, folks!

I included every participant. You too, Lexor. But your cute ghost isn´t exactly what I would call nightmare fuel :)
I also considered Tetsuo and it was a tough call at the end, but...

...from all suggested creatures I find the Weeping Angels the scariest. I never saw an episode of Doctor Who, because I like to watch my tv shows from the first episode on, and Doctor Who has more than 800 episodes!!!
Well, maybe I´ll start with the new series some day.
But I googled the Weeping Angels and read the Wikipedia article, and I really can´t imagine any situation in which I could bear to have one around me.

And that makes Caesar the winner! I´ll PM you.

To all others: Thank you for participating and good luck for the next time. There is always a next giveaway :)
Congrats Caesar.

And thanks to Oddeus for a giveaway of one of my favorite games.

Agreed. :D I just thought I share my story as it really shows how our "feelings" can change. As I said, now I like watching horrors "for fun" and they probably do not scare me so much as this "cute ghost" in the past. ;)

Thank you very much!

BTW, a new Doctor Who season starts today, and it's gonna be a soft reboot (whole new cast and storylines).

Congratulation Caesar. I'm happy for you.
