This news story is about a dubious claim made by a publishing company who had publishing rights back in the 60s. The BBC still gives Terry Nation a credit when the Daleks appear though.

And lucky me, I just won the Doctor Who Adventure game for Steam over at the GOG Gift Club. I am excited to play it. It got good reviews on Steam.
I wouldn't even call it an unofficial spinoff... it's not really got much to do with Doctor Who at all IMO.
Also, we got the games for free in the UK because they were commissioned by the BBC. What I played of the first one was absolutely awful and not really an adventure game. Disappointing, as Charles Cecil (of Broken Sword fame) was in charge of them. Of course, he was also in charge of BS3 and that was full of box pushing 'puzzles' and bad stealth, so...
