Catrhis: I am posting here about a curious issue i just got with gog downloader, i don't want to use galaxy, period , and the downloader worked perfectly fine until yesterday that i used to download a game
Now however the server deny access to the downloader despite being sure the login are correct, and the manual download constantly interrupt or straight out fail
As anyone else similar problems? Possible solutions, without using galaxy?
Keep in mind also that everyone using the software does not connect to a single central server that is either working or not working, but rather to a CDN comprised of several computers distributed regionally, so if something works for one person it may not work for someone else even if that one person has never ever had a problem, and if something fails for someone once or 1000 times, someone else might never experience the same problem because both people are not necessarily connecting to the same computer systems to download. The majority of failures one is likely to experience are not all or nothing, but specific to certain circumstances which can include a specific machine on the CDN, the person's ISP or other factors.
Contacting GOG support if you have problems downloading is usually the best bet as all you'll generally get in the forums is "works fine for me" from most people as problems tend to not be widespread when they occur, but the only way to get them fixed is for GOG to know someone is experiencing an issue via support. Incidentally, it works for me. But... it failed to download Witcher 3 a few weeks ago for me while someone else wasy able to download it no problem.
