It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Anyone experiencing slow downloads through their browser of choice? I'm using Firefox 86, but the speed is ridiculous around this time. Just wondering,
I right now get around 12 Megabyte/s when downloading large title, which is 99% saturation of my 100 mbit/s connection. This is Firefox 84 on 64bit nixos OS, x86 machine.
Not sure how recent of an experience you are looking for (recent weeks, just today, just this time-window, etc.), so here is my recent browser download history (in case it helps) [btw, I don't use Galaxy, and have only been dl'ing via a browser):

I have a 200Mbs service, which, for GOG, typically translates to downloading the 4GB "chunks" of a game in about 3 minutes, each. I've downloaded a few games over the past weeks, and the speed has been consistent at 3-min'ish per 4GB "chunk".

02/28 Planet Nomads (2GB)
02/24 Starpoint Gemini 2 (6GB)
02/22 X3 Terran War Pack (7.5GB)
02/10 Prey Digital Deluxe Edition (25GB)

Earlier: Horizon Zero Dawn (69GB), the Batman games (multi-dozen-GB's), etc.

Speed has been solid at about 3min'ish per 4GB.

That's about the speed I get using gogrepo.py unless the family is watching Netflix (which I prioritised on the router). Also on a 100/40 connection.
Browser makes no difference, easily proved by testing different browsers on the same computer, within the same window of time. All that matters is the network congestion and server loads.

Did some more testing this morning, apparently the issue persists through browser (tried Vivaldi as well, same speed, seems capped at 1.6MB/s).
Galaxy tops at 16MB/s, which is intriguing. Steam has even better speeds.

Thank you for the input.

I don't use Galaxy, but I usually cap out my ISP's bandwidth with browser downloads. I use Firefox, not sure if that is relevant in any way (frankly it should not matter much). There are slow days, especially during sales, but download speeds are mostly fine on my end.
You may want to make download speed testing using Free Download Manager too, if you don't mind using external programs for downloads.

Thank you all for your replies, Everything seems to be working properly as of right now. Maybe just a bad day, or something else going awry with Windows 10.

Glad you got it going better.

Are you sure it wasn't both? ;)

I mean, heck - could've been both a bad day and W10 being W10. ;)

Haha, Win10 drives me up the wall, never seen anything like it.
