Elmofongo: Whats the diiference between seasoned and fresh (and please no sarcastic jokes.)
"Classic" games vs "New" releases
At this speed there won't be much insomnia in this sale.

Seasoned - older/classic games

Fresh - newer games

Not sure how they're defining older/classic and newer games, guess we'll see how things progress.

Whether the game is considered a Classic or New release, I believe.

EDIT: The ninjas are plentiful today. :)

Nicole28: A wee bit on the slower side for now. I remember past titles of the first round literally flying off to neverland within seconds. Bookmarking this thread as a necessity. :D
I just hope any 5.99 old school games on my wishlist ends up being in the sale. I have only enough for one.

(Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis comes to mind)
The reason for the slow start might be that there are two games instead of just one like it was in all previous insomia promos. Once you give people a choice they don't feel as compelled to buy just to see the next one probably.
This should be interesting.

When the first Insomnia hit, I had less than 20 games. Now I'm more than halfway to 600.

Probability is not in my favor nearly as much. -laughs-
I wouldn't worry about the speed. People don't know yet that the best sale in gaming history has returned. :) Give them some time...

Also, the info's still getting out. Less than two hours ago, no one anywhere had a clue what was coming aside from the people at GOG Central.

also: some folks probably check the site later than others. might be a rush later on in the day as people notice the sale.
plus: driftmoon + bad mojo are pretty niche. [well, bad mojo is] - it'll take a little for it to "sell out."

That could be too. Plus it's a Monday, kind of an odd day to start the sale.

I think it's a combination of factors, including how long it takes the news to get around. Also, GOG probably should have started with two high-demand games, in order to jolt the news into spreading faster. Hopefully we'll see things pick up soon.

It will be interesting to see which category moves more quickly.

Indeed, that is true we all know how fast emails from GOG arrive to announce any new promo.

I own half of yours, but I wonder if I'll ever catch my wishlisted games in these sales now.. :O

The last one was on a Monday, if I recall. I remember it because my husband and I were due to go out for dinner, he got waylaid by work, and I picked up Race The Sun on the promo thanks to him being late.
