I've been a silent participant the last few hours as I was spending time with my wife while I tracked the sale on my phone. Alas, now with the end of "The Frame" in site, I must succumb to my heavy eyelids. Hopefully nothing amazing pops up in the twilight hours. I will see you all tomorrow. Happy hunting!

xjay73: Grr... I wonder why it is that every time GOG does Insomnia, my emaill notification of the event doesn't come in until at least half a day after the event starts? Last spring, I missed out on nearly all of round 1...
Because it's ... GOG?

There's nothing which stops you from sending the Email before the sale even starts, except you don't want to ...

xjay73: Thanks Sinistar, as always, for starting the tracking, and thanks to those keeping it up.
Exactly! +1

PS: Get the pigs! The graphics is lousy, but a TBS game with proper language packs (text and audio) for $1.49 :) ... cannot resist.

[ /me crawls back to play Majesty. :D ]

Dalthnock: It came out a couple of years ago. Unless you mean here in GOG.

I hope not, though. I can resist buying 1 again, but if BOTH are here, I'll have to buy it again... and the DVD is just above me. Looking down. Judging me.

If you haven't played Curse of Monkey Island, I envy you. A lot. I wish I hadn't played it countless times... I wish I could experience it for the first time again.

Cheers!

opticq: No I mean for the first time ever. Only Monkey Island game I've played is ToMI.

On another note, do you have any idea how to apply those background mods to the game? I don't know how to unpack the .pak file.
What mods are you talking about? I downloaded a bunch of them off of LucasForums, but the only thing I did was unpack the zip or rar into the game folder.

They all went into a folder called "art".

Cheers!
I'm using this time to look through the entire catalogue and add games to my wishlist that I may have missed. I'm not tired yet!
Only 4 left!
Oh hey, I got The Frame for free. I didn't want it, but it's a help.

I guess.

I think all the assets are in the pak file.

What took you so long!

the_voivod: I wasn't so keen on the Monkey Island S.E.'s but finding the patch that used the talkie tracks on the original DOS copies helped significantly.
For anyone who doesn't know:

http://gratissaugen.de/ultimatetalkies/monkey1.html

It turns the classic versions into Talkie versions. You play them in ScummVM. I weeped in joy when I heard pixelated Guybrush speak with the voice of Dominic Armato.

Cheers!
Just enough time for dinner, and The Frame is still here.

jackster79: So... any takers on which one will finish first? Hogs or Frame?

My $ is on Hogs...
avatar
bler144: The question really seems to be the over/under on how many Frame sales are left when Hogs clears the board. I'd put the line at 12.
avatar
dgwake: 12! nope more like 25
avatar
bler144: It was looking good for you when Frame was stalled at 30 forever, but now you're out of the running. ;)
avatar
jackster79: A fair question, and I think it is going to be close... if I had to guess, I would go with 14 or 15. 12 seems just a tad too low.
Well, it seems like I may have erred quite a bit.

Good thing I do not go to casinos, eh?

Turning in for the night. To all still on the prowl for the great GOG deals, happy hunting!

Nope, no idea.

Like I said, the mods I downloaded went into a folder called "art". The rest was just like you have there. The game recognized all the files in the new folder & used them automatically.

Cheers!
