I went ahead and filed a report about the spam bot problem to GOG support just in case nobody else had already. Not sure what the time difference is between here and there but I'm guessing it's about 6 or 7 hours (I'm in EST) so they would have folks likely working at this time of day on a week day at least, but it is the weekend so unsure if they'll receive it or be able to respond before Monday.

Having said that, there are probably enough GOG employees who poke around here in the forums on their personal time also like JudasIscariot and some of the others and if they notice the problem they'll get on the horn to GOG central command who will contact Disney and have stormtroopers launched to combat the threat in no time I imagine. :)

FUN FACT TIME 1:

In 1919 Boston was flooded with about 2,300,000 US gal (8,700 m3) of molasses :D
Actually that is quite a tragic event :S

You can read about it here:

The_Blog: That is strange. Are you sure the audio slider on the site isn't turned down. It might take a while for the site to connect to the relays.

huN73R: Yes it is, tried mute/unmute button too, any region locking being done on it? Progress bar keeps moving though.

Visited that site linked in spam threads, it's an Asian casino site for online gambling. But it's located in USA and started less than 2 months ago.

So how many people actually see one million spam posts like this and decide not only to click on the site but also perhaps to gamble there? I have to imagine that some people must since people wouldn't bother to spam or program bots to spam forums with urls otherwise, but really, who are these people who say "Hey! That crazy guy who posts a billion spam messages must really be on to something. I think that I want to patronize his fine e-establishment?"

I do like to flatter myself and my fellow Gogers that we, being a generally intelligent and computer savvy bunch, would be less likely than your random internet user to fall for that stuff, so take that Spambot! Your efforts would be far more useful elsewhere.
I swear I don't think those 2 are moving.
Okay...managed to take a sizable chunk off my list thanks to Insomnia...Insomnia has now slowed wayyyyyyyyyy down, so what am I doing in the meantime?

Checking the catalog for more games to add to the list for clearing during the next big sale.

Absolutely flawless logic right there. -shakes head-

No, they are moving. And hammerwatch is definitely winning the snail race ;)
Going out to find some geocaches. Hope will not miss games from my to-buy list :)

Great minds think alike, I'm going through every game
I thought it is suppose to end in 96 hours? The insomnia still continues? I am quite sleepy.
Hey guys -- have I missed Shadowgate special edition?
Good morning. I have updated both lists, but to my surprise (or not), I only needed to remove one game from each of the lists.

Nope only the stream. For some reason many mixed this up. The sale ends when all copies are gone. There is a reason why the last Insomnia Sales lasted for over a week ;)
