Dajjer: Ah ha. So that's how it works. I've been doing Insomnia sales for the past two years and haven't got squat. Never realized you could multiple click. Or just click on a game you are only casually interested in. So where as I got probably 50 or so games with 50 or so chances for freebies. I could have upped my chance by clicking 10 times as many times. Hmmmm. Kinda like exploiting a game mechanic. Interesting . . .
There's only one chance per person, so clicking on the same button multiple times doesn't work and is just creating needless traffic.

Got Freedom Planet, too. Sonic 3&Knuckles has been one of my favourite platforms of all times, so I hope I'll enjoy it a lot. Now waiting for Din's Curse and hoping for no more impulse, or forum driven, or "oooh look at that shiny discount" driven purchases =P.

oldaperture: I know. It's just that when you get a Freebie you also get a box on the upper left, so I always think it's that before I realize it's just the bug.

I don't think it works like that. But it seems some people try it anyway, which would explain the lag and connection issues we're all experiencing as a result...

I downloaded the GoG downloader. For now I only download Dragonfall with it, but tomorrow I will give Pier Solaris another try. Press the thumbs for me that it works then!

An easy thing to mistake, as the Seasoned games are tearing through their third cycle. Fresh is just not as mobile - they tend to either sell great or stay forever.

Freebies are a ruse, a scam, a cleverly concocted plot to get me interested in titles I probably wouldn't otherwise buy, under the guise that they may just appear free.

Ok, I got Haegemonia installed now and fired it up. I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 on an AMD 8350FX with 32GB RAM and a 2GB Radeon 7850 for the record. The game supports 4:3 aspect ratio video modes from 800x600 up through 1600x1200 only from what I can tell. I tested each video mode (there are about 6 or so of them) and they all work. I just set the video mode on the menu and let it change modes. I started a game but did not play it, just confirmed it worked and exited the game.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to do all that and comment back here while the game was still on promo but if you didn't grab it at least you know some useful info next time around. :)

AndyBuzz: What's the deal with the "swing and miss" notification? That's the second time I get it. Could it be on purpose? Like you could be lucky and score a critical hit or a damn jinx and score a critical miss.
It's just a glitch. Just check that the price is correct before confirming purchase.
