skeletonbow: Indeed. My buddy had a snazzy Thrustmaster HOTAS and some other gear, but all I had was some hand-me-down crappy Radio Shack carbon-pot joysticks that wonked out over time from hand heat. It was fun still but those damn joysticks, Narrrrrrghgghg! :) This time around though I have the bonus plan with the Saitek X52-Pro.

The TIE Fighters had more maneuverability, but it came at the expense of having no shields IIRC except for the bomber or something ... I forget. I aced each of the ships on both sides over time and had a blast.

I have to fight myself now to not install it right away as I have stuff to do. :)

Tarnicus: Are joysticks still made for the PC? I haven't owned one since the late 90s!
Ofcourse have a Thrustmaster HOTAS myself for playing Elite: Dangerous. :)
There are way better, but it works very good for it's price class. Actually joysticks are mostly made for PC afaik.

goplanet: Maybe if some people didn't drink coffee from K-cups at like $30 a pound, they could afford to pay full price for games. I'm just saying...
I bought a 3-pack of the fillable mesh cups for my Keurig. I use whatever coffee I want and am not a slave to the K-cup monopoly. I encourage all Keurig owners to do the same.

skeletonbow: Yeah, most people say "deuce ex" at least whenever I've heard someone say it. I say it correctly as the latin "day-us" then they correct me, then I correct them. ;)
avatar
The_Blog: In Germany we spell it like it is written. So not "day-us" but instead "Deus Ex". But you have to keep in mind that the "e" and the "u" in german sound different than in the english language. In the english language the "e" is more pronounced like our "i", while we pronounce "e" more like in the word "escape". I struggle to find a good example for the "u" in the english language right now.
I think most people mispronounce it because they don't realize it is Latin or know how it's pronounced in Latin. :)

Try any word with double 'o' in it. It may not match entirely but can come close.

skeletonbow: I was fortunate enough to download all of the Cinemaware games for free a number of years ago, probably around 2005 or so from their website where they had their entire historical game catalogue available for free download for MSDOS, Amiga, Atari, you name it. I still have the entire collection on my hard disk somewhere today. Sadly, at some point they stopped offering the games for free. Same thing happened with the Krondor games and GTA1&2 on Rockstar's website.

The only downside to the original downloads they offered for free is that you have to make them run on Windows 7 yourself instead of having the nice snazzy GOG installer. :)
Ah, a nice haul, indeed

Perhaps they will start developing new games and make these titles available for free again, or at a more reasonable price, individually or in bundles, as an incentive for purchases of their new games. Or include the originals for free as Extra's with re-mastered versions.

It seems like all the publishers are becoming more open to digital distribution options, outside of Steam. :)

Thanks for the info, and good to see you here too!

madth3: I have NOT been clicking on everything and I just got a Crit on Monster Bash.
:-)
So lucky! I've already went well beyond my budget this sale and I was hoping for a crit on something like this. Enjoy it my friend!

Yes, my wife bought those within a week of getting our Keurig machine. She wasn't about to let "The Man" tell her what coffee she could drink in single-serving portions! Sic Semper Tyrannis!

Back when I could afford K-cups I also could afford to pay full price for game. I can't afford K-cups anymore so I bought a refillable one last autumn. That's how I could afford to buy some game in this sale after about 6 months of not buying anything. I do miss the ease of use of the throw away k-cups, now I have to empty/clean my refillable one after each use. Yep I've got it tough.
