Hello everyone!

It would be a lot to ask the GOG team to update all games that use the standard/classic DOSBox, you know, the version that received the last update in 2019 by "Staging"? I know this will be A WORK, but it doesn't hurt to start with the "most famous/loved" games in the catalogue. This will be a differentiator for GOG, in my humble point of view.

I learned that games that use the mouse look better on it, I mean, controlling the character or whatever else in the game is, let's say, smoother and easier to control. Of course, in addition, there are tons of internal/external improvements, believe me, the list is long!

Well, for those who don't know the project yet, ladies and gentlemen... DOSBox Staging: https://www.dosbox-staging.org/

Best regards to everyone! ;)

Just so you know:

Hey mate, thanks for pointing this out. Voted! =)
I am fully supportive of this idea, it's just that GOG tends to be BAD at moving targets. Because I somehow doubt 2.8.1 is the version of ScummVM that all the adventure games are running on, and people still mention ResidualVM (which was merged into ScummVM ages ago) here and there on these forums.
Yes, DOSBox Staging is amazing. I use it when DOSBox 0.74-3 is missing a crucial feature to play a specific game. However, DOSBox Staging is under active development, so keeping it up-to-date in every GOG offline installer wouldn't be the easiest thing to do.
