So i wanted to play Ultima 7,and it doesn't launch at all,a DOSbox popup appears for a second, and then it simply crashes,i tested this with Ultima 4 as well and it seems to have the same issue,i can't even open DOSbox settings. Also when i tried to play Ultima 7 via the Exult mod,i entered the game's file path and the Exult didn't recognized it,even if that file had the .exe file.Games work flawlessly on my Win10 computer but i don't have access to it right now.I tried to apply the Gog support's solution, setting the graphic mode to OpenGL,unchecking the fullscreen option and setting the resolution to 1280x720,it didn't worked at all. Any other suggestions?

It seems that people had this problem. I do not know if their solution works, but you could try it
Open event viewer (right click on menu start) and check the error

Have you tried to run Ultima 7 in either Dosbox-Staging or Dosbox-X?

TheBigCore has it covered in one. The simple matter is, the original flavor DOSbox is nearly a decade without a major update, and that outstripping of technology is really starting to show. The last SVN/Trunk update to Dosbox was august of last year. The last stable release of DosBox, and ergo what GOG uses was five years ago, and that was a minor update over version 0.74, which released in 2010.

I expect that GOG will get on the ball and upgrade the build sometime in 2038.

Alternately speaking: Have you tried running the game in Exult, which eschews the usage of Dosbox entirely?
Another problem arises. I agree with using modern versions of dosbox. The problem is when gog strips out a dos game. As they dont provide the original updated files.

Plus most people have no idea what to look for, in the mess gog provides. I really think many customers just give up.

You can also avoid Dosbox entirely:
