Is there a simple way to set up the Dos Box (currently playing Champions of Krynn) so that when the game starts, the Dos Box window is a smaller/adjustable size?

Currently, every time I start a game, it automatically goes to full screen. I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to pull up the Task Manager, which then shrinks the window. Not ideal.

Along the same lines, how does one switch windows while in that mode? Currently, if I need to look at another window/program while playing that game (like to read a Journal Entry), I can't; the arrow stops when I reach the edge of the Dos Box window.

WIndow size isn't adjustable "on-the-fly" in DOSBOx.

Hit ALT+ENTER to get out of Fullscreen in DOSBox, go into FULLSCREEN MODE

CTRL + F10 releases the mouse cursor when you're playing a windowed DOSBox session

In the games main directory there should be a file called "dosboxChampionsofKrynn.conf"

Open that file in notepad or another editor and find the following line:

fullscreen=true

Change to:

fullscreen=false

then below that there are lines you can adjust the resolution to your liking, there is an explanation of all the variables just above in the file.

One thing to note is that gog supplies a copy of DosBox with each game. One thing you can do is setup one copy of DosBox and change the shortcut of each game which needs DosBox so it runs your DosBox with its settings (say, fullscreen=false). At least that's how I do it.

Check out the Goldbox subforum (General->on the right side type the name of the game, it should be Goldbox something I think?), and I think there is a sticky about it there. If not, I'm sure I've seen threads asking about it, and you can always make your own if you don't find the right one. :)

Ah, didn't realize there was a separate forum.

Had to mess around some - at one point I had managed to delete the Champions save also - but I think I eventually got it to work (had to manually move each save instead of as a group)

Oh, actually there is a way to freely resize the Dosbox Window. It's just that the grognard developers haven't actually gotten around to implementing it.
