I have to admit the single Player is pretty good looking but the multiplayer was the part I was not really worried about.

I will wait for a sale on this one.
In my mind id has always been an engine development studio, rather than game development. Historically, all of their games were more along the lines of tech demos. This is not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind. They make amazing engines, and throw in some gameplay as an afterthought, so that people could appreciate the engine better. Then another company (often Raven) would take the engine and make games that had a lot more value as games as opposed to technical showcases. I imagine it will be more or less the same with Doom 4.
I'm still waiting to see some reviews.

Gersen: I just hope that this Denuvo craze will not negatively impact Gog ability to release newer games.
It certainly won't help with getting "big-name" titles here (which we aren't getting many of anyway), but I don't think indies care enough to be affected.
I am almost through downloading it now. I got a reeeeeally good discount, so i couldn't say no. I'm in it for the single player campaign, which according to bethesda, for them takes about 15 hours, which means for my must-find-all-the-hiddens ass, means much longer.

I really have wanted to play a super gory FPS, and I think this is gonna fit the bill.

Edit: I am very sentimental about DOOM, it was my first FPS and what made me fall in love with the genre, so when I play tonight, I'll give my first impression of the single player campaign.

Terpor: Also the PC version has Denuvo

Gersen: Sad but hardly a surprise, not sure why some may peoples were apparently sure it wouldn't use it...

Well I hardly bought any AAA games nowadays because of online activation DRM...but having said DRM becoming unremovable (at least for the time being) will definitely not help increase this number.

It will make things harder, at least until they realise that it doesn't improve sales. Denuvo = no buy for me, and I try to dissuade others from buying any games that use it.
Unfortunately Denuvo opened a portal to hell underneath my any care I had for it.

Only 15 hours? That sounds short.

Any feedback you can give on the "Achievements to upgrade weapons" feature would be interesting to read.

since DOOM 4 is being called "COD/Halo" rip off, a long campaign (relatively speaking compared to those games) was a surprise.

Sounds like the Wolfenstein the New Order system except it actually unlocks gamechanging stuff like secondary firing modes instead of +10hp.

It still sounds like the campaign is too short to warrant a second playthrough to me. :(

you can always increase difficulty and if it's in ANY way true to doom, there are always secrets to find.

Sounds bad. The feature makes me suspicious.

It's still mostly the same content. I'm thinking DLC/expansion danger here.

actually, all the dlc is for the multiplayer at this point.
Torrent when? I'm not spending 100 bucks on a steam game
